your car looks awesome buddy... the alloys also look cool, can you give a better side view? also, where do you plan to fit your number plate now?
also, where have you fitted the screen for the reverse camera? the tail pipe also looks macho... congratulations, good choice...

hey buddy, how did you manage to change the alloys? the sensors of TPMS are installed in the current alloys, right?

@getsurya: Truck looks good and the reverse camera too has been fitted neatly.

One suggestion - if possible remove the Automotives' sticker.

getSurya's mHawk

Hi Gd & Raj, Thanks for your compliments. Finally I was able to upload some pics of my car!!(phew..considering my limited knowledge in this area I am learning now;-)). I shall post some pics of the full view and interiors too soon.

I too want to remove the dealer sticker from the cars rear....just want somebody who can do a good job without scratches to the car...I tried, the sticker is too hard to peel off for me.
I shall post more pics as my proficiency builds up on hosting these pics.anyhelp is more than welcome!! I plan to put my number plate on the left side of the rear door cladding. Would get some white LEDS' embedded as one of our folks in the forum did!
Unlike my other Crde SLX, mHawk came with a double DIN, so my ICE comprises of a JVC double din DVD player with USB, iPOD & Reverse camera connections. The screen doubles up for the rear view cam display once the gear is engaged.
I did not like the OEM alloys, so got them upgraded at the dealer itself and they did the TPMS sensor transfers to the new ones. These look better than the stock ones!! The dealer was very reluctant to change them as they tried to tell me that it would make the warrany void etc. I spoke to my contacts at M&M and upon thier assurance this was completed.

Couple of queiries and need advice from experts.
1. I was trying to do a replacement of roof lights with white LEDS over the weekend. Tried with 8 White LEDS in serial with negative linked to 100 ohms resistor. This is what the shop guy told me to do!!did not work!! can anybody tell me the right way to go about here??
2. the engine heat needle in mHawk is always around the mid point? is this same for all mHawks? i also drove yesterday over 300 km and the later leg of the journey the needle was just crossing the mid point mark.Needle in the Crde one never crossed even the 30% of the range inspite of inter state trips.

Bad boyscad, good pics dude....your truck rocks!!

@getsurya: Congrats for stunnigly beautiful mHAWK!

You can try removing the sticker with mild soap/shampoo soltion. I hope it would do the job without affecting the gloss.

Cheers!!!

@BBCad : Get roof railings for your Scorp, and also get the front bumper painted to same grey as the side claddings. Did you change the bumper recently? The fitment near the right fog lamp seems amiss.

I've not driven a mHawk though 2 of them are parked in my condominium, and certainly not on interstate trips. The temp needle in my 2004 non-Crde GLX Scorp never ever touches the mid point and is always a few points below that, whether in 45C in summers or 4C in winters and even on interstate.

True that the mHawk engine radiates more heat becasue of its high BHP and aluminium block, but what you are mentioning, should not be the case. It could be some issue with the cooling or a faulty gauge.

yup, got the bumper changed because of a small brushing with a gov bus in a roundabout. And claddings are not painted grey, they have faded to grey. Started saving for cladding & bumper paintjob(body colored).

@GhettoMAX: the Wheels & tyres of getsurya's scorp are AURA Alloys-F11665-5 Spoke(Hyper Silver)& Bridgstone dueler H/Ts 235/70/r16.

@getsurya:Sir, 1st of all, congrats on your excellent scorp(black looks stunning). Regarding the sticker removal, try using small amount of diesel, peel off, then wash the area with shampoo or soap and wipe.

Hi All, thanks for your appreciations. I am sure we all love our trucks equally, if not more.
Gd, thanks for your inputs on the heat gauge. will check with M&M dealer.
Ghetto, the alloys are just a pure replacement of stock ones-both are 16" only. The tyres are stock-Bridgestone duelers(OEM).
I shall get the sticker out from the rear, thanks for your ideas.
