Pradeep,
Thanks for the info. My other question remains-how much is that grill? Can your friend make one for me too?

@gd1418: Tanveer has honestly shared his opinion / experience. I believe nobody but you (as you own both Safari & Scorpio) can rate (if not here then in some other thread) both these SUVs on parameters like, ride, handling, braking, niggles, overall experience, etc.

Your post is eagerly awaited.

Cheers!!!

Hi,
It costed around 2.5k for the materials and the labor.Th existing front grill will be converted like this. If interested, you will need to send your front grill by courier and the same after completion can be returned. I am bit sceptical about the safe handling of the same in transit. I did it when i visited him in trichy.

Pradeep, thanks for the info. I agree that transit damages can be expected. Can I request you to post close up pics of the grill, if possible from all sides after removing the grill from the vehicle. That shall give me an idea for me to ask somebody to do the same to my car at Hyd. I am sorry if I am asking for too much here!!

What a nideous idea

How can you say this? What is the interpretation of hedious ( I know all the explanations in the dictionaries and that can be found in the web)

Something is hideous compared to another, so what are you comparing with?

@ Deep Gautam: While I respect Tanveer and his many objective posts and lovely pictures; this one is a little subjective, you need to compare against some bench mark? Or am I mising something.

IMHO you don't have to own all the vehicles to know about or comment about it, you can TD it, drive friends car etc., to understand the differences and unique points.

deep gautam, here we are just describing the looks. even i have the scorpio and my cousin uses the safari. but i personally find the scorpio much better looking than the safari. i have always said that looks are subjective. what is hideous to someone maybe beautiful to some other.
but yes, i feel "hideous" is a too harsh word for the scorpio, c'mon its not a logan or versa guys! but still i respect tsk's personal opinion.

I agree with Raj. Please do not generalize personal opinions on public forums. Thanks!

I never made the comment against scorpio per say as per its features, performance or quality. Infact I have stated on many threads that I consider the drivetrain and driveability of scorpio better than the Safari. I was merely commenting on the looks, which are not at all to the liking. This thread is about SUV pictures and looks, and look is always a subjective matter.
There will be people who will heap praise on the looks, and there will be people who will find looks hideous.

Hi Everyone,

I personally feel the Scorpio has a macho look as compared to the Safari. The Scorpio takes on offroading with ease and feels like an offroader. The safari on the other hand is better on tarmac and is much much more comfortable as far as seating and cabin space is concerned. The only drawback i think is that there is a lot of noise from the shaft. The engine is also refined but again its got a very soft suspension.

Its just my opinion and i'm not trying to contradict anyones statement.

Regards,

Randeep

Pradeep, Thats a good looking grill which gives your scorpio a different look.

Regarding the looks of Scorp:

I was trying to share the best looking angles of a Scorpio & being a photographer/enthusiast, tsk was just sharing his views. By reading his threads i understand that he was a hard core fan of Safari & changed his mind completely after driving an mHawk. It was Mahindra who couldnt deliver his requirements.

Lets post more pics in this thread & enjoy the beauty of our beasts.

@ mansidea: buddy, you are not at fault here. nobody is. this is a public forum and everybody has the rights to post and we should accept their personal opinions. we should not behave like some maniacs who cant stand a thing against their beloved cars. thats not good.

@ramkya, Raj, mansidea, Tanveer: Driveability, Torque, Off-roading capabilities, etc. are purely logical and arguable. But on the other hand liking / disliking aesthetics are beyond any debate.

Personally I rate scorpio better than Safari for both performance & looks. Others may have likes or strong dislikes for the looks. Hence please don't feel offended...Tanveer has given mHawk a big WOW (I remember reading his TD experience) for it's performance like no other on this forum, but he may not like the looks (unlike rest of us) and has every right to express it.

Cheers !!!

I love Scorpio! (have to right explicitly to save myself from getting banged by Scorp lovers. )

I love both the trucks. IMHO, you can't compare two vehicles as there are pluses & minuses in both, but nothing ourageous.

Only one difference - Scorpio is peppier than Safari. BTW, my views on both have been documented in detail elsewhere on the forum.
