dont even think about it

I did it with adhesive tapes but i was lucky to find somebody who has the taste & skill in it.

i love the black pillars in mansidea's scorpio and was planning to do the same in my scorpio too. but then i noticed that it looks good because he has got dark black tints on his car.
My front glasses (both sides) are not black tinted.

I suggest you not to do anything with your pillars now. Your car looks beautifu & has the charm of a new car now & enjoy it. Later, may be after couple of years (yes.. I said years), if you feel like having a change, then try something different, like changing the tyres & masking window frame.

Hmmm...so the obvious question hits you Raj - which do you find better now - the CRDe or the M-Hawk 2.2 ?

both are good, both feel equally punchy. but the hawk is a bit more linear in its power delivery and also more refined. engine wise, no complains from either.
but the hawk feels better with more features.

Whats the verdict on the difference between both. Im hoping to book my Scorp in the next 2 weeks and am planning to go in for the 2.6 crde, keeping in mind my budget.

Would you suggest that its worth putting in the extra 1 lac + for the Mhawk engine? Do give inputs

Nice pics, must be a cool sight to have 2 White Scorps in the drive way

cheers

sure raj
I ve done it myself on my swift - we have an Lxi and I added the sticker tape (Black) on the A and B Pillars to make it look more sporty like the Vxi and Zxi. This was done by the regular service station people when I d given the car for servicing and they did a pretty decent job of it. Also added the left side wing mirror (which does not come as standard on Lxi) as well as painted the wheel rims bright white all over - the car looks cuter and sportier now and has more character than it did when it first came!
cheers

hi
did you play golf at Kundale? From the pic (and my memory) you appear to have parked directly outside the clubhouse, overlooking the golf course! Superb place eh?
I was a small kid of 5 when my dad was managing Chandavurrai Estate! Home Turf man!!
Last visited that area 3 years ago Diwali!
YAY!!!
(By the way, the Scorp pics look suitably dusty and travelworn!!)
cheers

Those are great photos, NIP and HVKumar! Scorpios in action: on touring duties.

Such photos of dusty/dirty SUVs which are far away from home, on holiday or business, have an appeal quite their own!

@ NIP: you have a cool sense of photography my friend. and your scorpio looks sparkling new!

@ K Singh: go ahead with you scorpio, but if you cant afford a mHawk in the VLX variant, go for the VLS, its cheaper. its similar to SLX with the mHawk engine and ABS as standard.
i am not saying the CRDe is not that good. its almost very similar to the hawk but the hawk has a slight advantage that it is technologically much superior. when you test drive both, you wont feel much of a difference in both the engines. i would suggest the hawk but at the same time the CRDe is a very good buy.

@ shankar balan: thanks buddy, for the advice as well as the compliment!

@ HV kumar: again great pics mate. i love to see dusty scorpios.
