I wouldn't be too confident about the frames that Maui Jim sells, especially their acetate collection. The metal frames are not that great either. There is no doubt but their lenses are good.

Why dont you ask your optician to give you an amparmatic tint and coat with an anti reflective coat?

The day/night lenses from Ray-ban may be ideal for this, I think. See if prescription glasses can be made out of them. If what you want are Polarized prescription glasses, then I have no idea.

You can get imported POLAROID sunglasses for as low as Rs.2500.
The ones available in India are manufactured in eastern europe and hence cheaper.
A polarised lens is, any day better than a non-polarised one for driving.
and this is where Ray-ban fails. Ray-bans below Rs.7500 dont have polarised lens.
And yes Maui Jim polarised lenses are also very good, but a bit costly.

Recently a friend of mine bought an imported bike helmet with a polarised visor.
Wonder how they made such a large polarised lens at an affordable price..

Nice collection. Are those Aviators originals? My original Aviators have a different RayBan font.

I recently lost my Raybans :(.. Got them from Italy and now they are gone.

@Tejas, the only ones that I can recommend come from Oklay or Tag Heuer vvv expensive to my pocket. I am ok with the non reflective ones. Pls donot buy chromatic lenses other than Essilor, others do not work well.

Else try lenses and then all the shades are waiting for you

Initially Oakley was being distributed by a Bombay based distributor. Now Oakley has been taken over by Luxottica. I guess there is some confusion between the old distributor and Luxottica. You should find them on stores soon.

Have you checked at GKB stores? I think they have a decent collection of Oakleys.
