We're talking about multi-function wrist devices in the age of convergence -- chronometer, computer, camera, radio, multimedia player, digital video broadcast DVB-H, GPS-device, internet device for surfing the web and reading emails on the move
In that context, jewelry watches that do no more, than show the time, are anachronistic dinosaurs, going back to grandfathers times. Their value is more in their use of precious metals and jewelled movements, than in high-tech features.

Last year I was looking to buy a watch in the $100-150 range and considered Diesel, Skagen, Movado and Swiss Army but didn't really like any of them. Then I visited India and was walking by a road side stall in Abids, Hyderabad and this Puma watch caught my attention. Now I wear a 200 Rs. Puma watch which everyone here in US think costs a minimum of $150.
Currently I use a CAT watch. Looking to purchase a Corvette Watch soon... looking at three models... may go for the Skagen model

Hmm then I misunderstood the thread. Apologies. I was under impression that this is just a thread to mention which watch do you have. I didnt realize we are only talking about multifunction & exotic watches.
I am not sure what you mean by jewelery watches, but 95% times I use my watches only for viewing time, the remaining times when I need to check date I wear the watch that display date(3 of them) & other small functions like dual time(for US) & stop watch etc for which I use the Ironman.
The day I really need any other functions from a wrist watch than just time I will buy one.

Have a Sonata watch that i picked up for 300 odd rupees few years ago. Earlier had HMT that lasted for 16 years.
I have been using a Swatch for about 2 yrs now.. which was gifted to my by my employer..!!
I must say that it is quiet sturdy as it has gone through a lot of abuse.
What a collection you guys have. I've a casio black - simple watch, have used it for last 10 years. I also have a sonata, which is 8 years old but have worn it not more than 5 times.
Watches are the last thing I'd want to splurge on as other than show off value, there's very little utility to them. I use a simple titan that shows me time and date. Half the days I forget to wear that as well and end up checking time on my cellphone lol:.
Have a "Sieko 5" automatic watch - no batteries to change, since it works off the motion of your wrist. Have been using it for the past 25 years.
