Can we get discounts on the Omega Seamaster collection in Bangalore over the listed price? At any of the resellers - Ethos/Helios/Zimsons?

You always get discounts from Ethos. In case of Omega from Ethos they have door step delivery and in my case I had to pay only after I had the watch delivered and after having it thoroughly inspected.

Got this book this morning.
And took the photo along with my Sub.

An offtopic question. Is there any swatch service center in Bangalore? I need to get my mother's watch serviced and am looking for one.

Been reading it for a few weeks. What I really enjoy is the utilitarian and high-performance background of Rolex watches especially the steel ones and when I see all the diamond studded gold watches, it's an evolution that disappoints at many levels. :)

Hi all watch enthusiasts and nerds ,

I've been thinking of buying a new watch to add to my collection (I might still do that), but for now, I've decided to take a pause. Instead, I want to change the look of my existing watches by getting new straps—perhaps rubber, sailcloth, or NATO—and maybe experiment with different colors.

I often see watch reviewers on YouTube recommending premium watch straps, but they're all from outside India. I was wondering if there are any quality options available in India that are suitable for use with premium or luxury watches?

Enjoy your watches...Cheers! :thumbs up

My humble submission to this thread. I purchased my first ever *new* watch, a Casio GBD-200-2DR.

All watches I've worn till date were either gifts, or my dad's old watches.

Some images below :)

Have seen a lot of traction on Hello straps https://www.helloedc.com for premium straps in India. Cant vouch personally as I have not ordered from them yet. But have some on my wishlist.

Cheers !!

Hello everyone,

I got myself an HMT Janta watch with Hindi lettering.
Which watch do you own?-20250317_101244.jpg

Last weekend, I was in Mussoorie and was walking on the mall road when I saw a small watch shop with a board that said "Antique HMT watches". I went in to meet an elderly gent who had a good collection of new/ old HMT watches.

I ended up buying the one with a silver sunburst dial and Devanagri script for the hour markers. The person was kind enough to let me choose another strap since the factory strap was quite useless. My co brother also ended up buying the same watch with green dial. The price was Rs 2800 each. For now I have it on a silicone strap but planning to get a nice leather strap in green/ brown. Recommendations on those will be welcome. I saw ajwain and a few others but haven't been able to decide.

HMT had been on my list for a while but had never pursued it seriously even though it was made very near my hometown (Nainital) and we knew quite a few folks who worked there.

Some images of the shop and the collection they had. This shop is right on the mall road opposite Chic Chocolate.

My friend is looking for a watch in the $1000-$2000 range (80K to 1.5L Indian Rupee). He does not like metal band, so looking for leather option only. He is traveling to Switzerland in a month and planning to buy it from there. I asked him to check Tissot Gentleman Powermatic 80 Silicium (se below) first.

Check the Tissot PR516 Powermatic80 with blue or brown leather strap. JAmes bond retro reissue.

Looks better than the Gentleman but movement is not Silicium.

I'm very happy to share my new watch purchase with you all this fine Sunday

Which watch do you own?-1.jpg

Purchased from the Rolex Boutique, Jio World Plaza at BKC in Bombay.

About half a year in the waiting list, a decade in the Aspiration list.

The Rolex Datejust

Unlike the popular/flashier Fluted with Jubilee configuration that people go for when it comes to the DJ, I specified mine as Domed with Oystersteel, more suited for daily office wear, meetings etc.

It's been a long time coming : )

If anyone has any queries on the typical Rolex wait lists, shenanigans etc. please feel free to ask. I had a very very positive experience with the Khimji Group run Rolex Boutique above, unlike the Turner and Hughes road Rolex stores, I would highly recommend the same to anyone who is patient and is looking to acquire a Rolex in the most transparent manner.

Clearly a very fine Sunday. Loved the non-fluted bezel part, the fluted bezel makes this one look very flashy. If ever you wish to change to the fluted bezel, is that an option?
