TG, this is an old image, shot in 2007 in E-500 at ISO400. Can't escape noise in E-500 at ISO400 or above. Even the PP is 2 years old. I didn't understand the part about subduing the highlights in camera, I don't have such settings for raw.

I did the PP again.

I think what he meant was metering for the highlighted portion( the top leaf) which got kind of blown out. Your next PP does have some detail on the leaf than prev one but it's gone way too soft now. And contrast also has gone bad. Probably you can try some Levels and then some sharpening on the 2nd image.

Oh, in that case the highlight clipping happened in the first PP rather than the original shot. Besides, I am no PP expert, and I rarely spend more than 2-5 minutes on PP.

What I meant was, metering for the highlights or going for a slightly underexposed exposure to subdue the highlights. Hence i called it incamera. Any how, I dont think you can do much with that click, I suppose you posted it only since it is a rain click

Oh that, I always do that, even this shot has -0.7EV.

Exactly.

It has been raining everyday here, but I am too busy to click. I hope others have made use of the rain and have some fresh photos.

I did this from by flats balcony. use manual controls and took around 50 snaps and on shot was successful. Just timing and luck.
