For the first time in my life I actually bought a novel off the shelf rather than trying to impress the PYT around. The book's name is Bombay Rains, Bombay Girls by Anirban Bose. About a small town guy who comes to Mumbai from Ranchi to do his MBBS from Grant Medical College. His struggle in the intitial days, Ragging in college, the first crush, the first date, the first strike at the medical college, the first "i love you", seeing deaths, losing a friend.

I had decided that I'll finish about first 50 pages because of the fact that i am reading a actually novel for the first time in my life; however, that's not how it went. Started at 10.30 at night and slept at 4.30 in the morning after finishing the novel. The way Mumbai is described is fabulous. I could actually see it happening in front of my eyes! reminded me of my college days and the nights spent at the KEM hospital hostel with friends (I am not a Dr. btw)

A definite read. And yes, I am now going to read some more novels!
