Am not much of a reader, but out of the few that I have read the following come to my mind:
1) Where Eagles Dare by Alistair McLean
2) A Farewell to Arms by E.M. Hemingway
3) Odyssey by Homer
4) Macbeth by Shakespeare
5) Godfather by Mario Puzo

Actually, come to think of it, I haven't read many books. Am more into trivia and quiz.

Have just finished The Godfather. Now started with Mein Kampf and Sherlock Holmes series, which will keep me busy for 2007.

I've been a voracious reader since I could read. I'm mostly a fiction guy, and mostly pulp fiction, at that. Favourites are so many that I can't even begin to list them. Some of the ones that immediately jump to mind in no order:

- The Lord of the Rings (all 3 parts/books) by JRR Tolkien
- Great Train Robbery by Michael Crichton (the first time I read it, I read it in a single sitting)
- Dogs of War by Frederick Forsyth
- Holding the Zero by Gerald Seymour
- The Partner by John Grisham
- Angels and Demons by Dan Brown
- The Talented Mr.Ripley by Patricia Highsmith
- Rita Hayworth & the Shawshank Redemption by Stephen King
- The Green Mile by Stephen King

etc etc etc... :-)

Currently reading all of Ian Fleming's original James Bond books. Finished Casino Royale yesterday. Started on Live and Let Die today.

Yes!....looks like I'm not the only HS Thompson fan around here! Varun, I'm sure you would enjoy his other work as well, including "Hell's Angels", "Fear and Loathing on the Campaign Trail", and some of his shorter works like "The Kentucky Derby is Decadent and Depraved".

To the Douglas Adams fans: DA is a genius in the classical sense given his ability to combine and satirize different genres. I too did not like the way HHGTG ended, but felt it was right to have such a foreboding end to such a twisted story. Anyone seen the movie? Unfortunately, it only covers the first book, but nonetheless has fascinating visual interpretations of it!

I like Ludlum- the Bourne series, Jefferey Archer, Wilbur smith - all his books are great, Dan brown - Da vince code

Currently reading FISH...My company distributed this out and are planning on having some team building excercise on this book. So really, I'm forced to read this one, but it seems pretty interesting.. would recommend it to all those who feel they are stuck in a boring job.
