Cant you guys see it. Its quite obvious.

Sachin's last cup, its in India and the final is in Mumbai.

So on 2nd April 2011 we will see Sachin holding the World Cup and retiring from cricket.

Its destined.

How I wish that would come true. Keeping my fingers crossed. Hope lifting the world cup does not prompt Sachin for playing till the next World cup.

Sreesanth comes in place of Praveen Kumar as he is ruled out of the world cup. Bad luck. Hope Sreesanth lives up to the Selector's faith.

Re: The Cricket World Cup 2011 thread

T20 world cup final was on 24 sep 2007- my birthday, we were in a pub along with 300 odd people watching it on large screen and i told my friend if India won i will take off my tee and will dance like that in front of all those people.

The promise was kept and if India wins this world cup i will do it again irrespective of where i am seeing it

Re: The Cricket World Cup 2011 thread

I have no hope that India will go past Semis! Only reason is being, team is full of people who always don't shine together as team! We lack team work when it matters, i.e. when we are losing. Imagine 10/3, and Raina or Yuvi coming to Stabilize the innigs requiring to chace 300+, with stadium full of people already trowing tantrum! Its not conductive to person walking into pitch!

Even if we have to defend 250+ score, if opp already has good moment, we have team already losing steam at 9th over itself. Adding to this we have freeSanth coming in place of Praveen Kumar!

I feel sorry for Sachin, All his efforts are gone on drain, thanks to our team work! It continuous this WC also.

Re: The Cricket World Cup 2011 thread

Seems like MSD is already out with future excuses:

World Cup is not the final frontier, says Dhoni - Rediff Sports

Well if he has said what he has then I am not buying that. Its the subcontinental wickets, home ground, plenty of support, good team, I don't see a reason why he can't get us the cup. This is our best chance. WC is not the final frontier ? It is, for most buddy.

you may check here ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 Team Matches - India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh - World Cup Tickets on KyaZoonga but, IND_ENG match was not there. Probably they are waiting for final confirmation or something?

Re: The Cricket World Cup 2011 thread

Read in the newspapers that out of Yusuf Pathan, Virat Kohli and Suresh Raina only 2 are going to make it to the 11 ! Looking at the poor form and big paunch of Yuvraj, the captain should bench him in some matches. At the rate at which his paunch is growing he wont be able to fit in his Lamborghini !

Re: The Cricket World Cup 2011 thread

Hmmmmm, so as Team India followers, should we take this practice match seriously? I would love to say no we should not after all its only a practice match!!!

But its really pathetic and heart wrenching to see how are batsmen are performing in their back yard!!

Waiting to see how are over enthusiastic media reacts on the batting performance!!

Re: The Cricket World Cup 2011 thread

The batting needs to come good for india however the spin bowling was great.
Seems like selectors hit the jackpot by selecting chawla.
Moral boosting win over OZ today augurs well for the start to our campaign
