Yup, will surely do. Planning of going on sat. Apart from Sukhois expect to catch glimpse of Apache and Eurofighter too.

I didnt register for children, so not sure about valid ID proof for visitors below 18 years of age.

I am sure the voter's ID card will be a valid proof of identity.

Re: Aero India 2011 - Airshow in Bangalore

I'm planning to go on Friday. Yet to buy the tickets though

From what I've heard they have really messed up with the ticket distribution

My colleague had waited for 1.5 hours yesterday at Forum only to be told that it is time for them to go home and they asked him to return today to get the tickets.

Last time I went directly to the venue and someone who had a Rs.800/- free pass from HAL sold it to me for 400 bucks

I feel that they should have sold it online for the benefit of the public.

Re: Aero India 2011 - Airshow in Bangalore

Can we get tickets to your "balcony with a view"?

Special discounted offer for Team-BHPians maybe?

Don't know about tickets to my balcony, but I sure know of places nearby where one can get to sit in one's car and enjoy the magnificient display minus all the security hassles and long treks in dust after paying. Also add the added advantage of beating the traffic jams once the show has ended.

Re: Aero India 2011 - Airshow in Bangalore

Is it possible to register as a business visitor to walk around the entire area?

Or only as a general visitor? I registered in janata class but want to run around in the business area. Maybe somebody will try to sell me a F-16 or a missile?

Cheers

If you go in as a General Visitor by paying that kind of money on tickets, i would suggest you to go around the Village, or give a patient ear to what Lukeskywalker is saying.

Its horrible, and almost impossible to get a view of the runway, the only thing you can do is, keep gazing at the sky and wait for things to happen, and for that you want to pay money

I am certainly out this time, i can view those birds from my housetop also. But Lukeskywalkers advice is best, i think i'll take that.

I am not paying money to those "morons" for their dis-oriented, dis-organised public placement at the venue.

I was hoping to stroll around the aircraft, take close-up shots and generally gape and drool from close quarters.

The general area ADVA is where one never gets to see anything I suppose. The business area should be a neat experience.

Re: Aero India 2011 - Airshow in Bangalore

Any clue on if there are shuttle buses from parking areas to the entry gates .. looks a bit far from what i can see on the ticket.
I'm talking about the parking area ahead of Ryan international school.

Wouldn't that be amazing. I will be thrilled to actually pay the ticket price and be in a location like that
