drove 1100 miles = 1700~ kms in 22 hours from south dakota to ohio. I shudnt have done that i was sick for a 2 days after that ... felt like i was still sitting in the car. suffered from dehydration becoz i never took breaks until my gas tank was empty.

and i took the worst route possible too...south dakota, nebraska, minnesota, wisconsin, indiana, ohio. it was a terrible experience but good fun to look back at.

Orlando-Florida to NJ, 1100 miles / 1760 kms in 15 hours. Wish we had roads like that here. Or do we? Imagine reaching Kerala from Bombay on the same day.

From Madras to Belgaum via Bangalore.. 350+500= ~850. Fun to drive all the way in the Ikon 1.6. But missed Cruise Control a lot.

In 2002, did Brisbane to Sydney - 1000Km, 3 hrs break and then off to Melbourne - another almost 1000 KM in just about 24 hours. 3 drivers and the car was brand new Holden Commodore SS

On the way back via Griffith and Dubbo. The distance was pretty much the same give or take 100 KM. covered in less that 20 hours. Went almost at average speed of 160+ as there was no one on the roads but a big road train every 50 KM

In 2002/3 I used to work near a place called Quilpie near Charleville. The distance from my house in Brisbane is around 970 KM. I used to start 4 on Monday mornings and reach Quilplie at around 10:30 - 11:AM. ON Fridays i would leave at around 2 PM from Quilpie or Charlesville and reach Brisbane at around 10 PM latest. The car was Mitsubishi Magna or Toyota Camry. On those roads if yu go past Dalby there are virtually no cops in sight and can easily go over 150 Km/h. Only delays were getting stuck in behind a road train for a few kilometers.
