i hope thats a typo "MPH" simply aint possible for a Taurus unless its having some alternate big block with big horses. the stock is simply not possible.

Phew! You guys Rock! you people got to drive so many vehicles. I being a new(6 month old) driver have only done a 130kmph on a Bolero(my car) and 140kmph on a Esteem(friends car). I guess I need a lot more experience.

Fellow T-BHPians, a request to all of you!

Please please please
do not get carried away with Top Speed numbers posted by others and do not try to match or better those numbers. Top speed depends on too many factors such as road condition, type of vehicle, vehicle condition, place, traffic, driver skills. And your conditions can be completely different than others.

All I can say is that, better slow than sorry!

Well, in my father's 1948 Morris 8, I remember having managed 60kmph. It might have been possible to go little faster, but then the brakes were so weak, the car would stop over 30metres that too with me threatening to uproot the seat by the force of me leaning back into it.
I have also done 80 kmph in my father's 1979 Amby. That was a long ride and at the end of it, one of the piston's rings started leaking oil. So, I guess I overdid it even at just 80.
In my own 800, I have never crossed 110 with a/c. At those speeds, the engine sounds so strained, I feel its hurting and wants me to relax my foot.
