Like the R1 and MT-01, these two would be bang in the million rupee territory, the CB1000R slightly less perhaps.

Just a humble perspective here.

Owing an imported bike in India is a genuine nightmare. Not from a maintenance angle, but from all the attention it gets EVERYWHERE. I used to ride my BMW to work, but I very quickly got sick of people staring, touching (not taught as kids I guess), sitting on it, pressing buttons and asking how much it costs even while I am standing right next to it.

Quickly gets old. One reason I parked it and bought a Karizma.

Alright, the '09 Fireblade is being launched in Delhi somewhere between the 25th and 27th of this month after which they will have a soft launch in the first week of March in Bombay. Bookings start after the Delhi launch and the bikes will be delivered in March.

Bluu: THAT, sir, is heart-warming news. Having owned and ridden a Blade, it's become a religion for me.
There'll always be Rasterfarian R1s. Hottie Hayabusas. Envious-green Kwackers. But the Blade remains cutting edge :-)

straight6: Thanks, Sir. Hadn't seen your post when I uploaded my response. Any fix on the price point?

The CB 1000 is priced well. Its the cheapest SBK you can get on the road here now. The CBR is too much. You can get a Busa for that much.
