I did. That is how I came to know that it is a July vehicle.

ADC, having read about your adventures in your 2WD, you probably would have taken off to the moon in a 4WD

Journey would start on Sunday for sure, as long as I am satisfied with the vehicle. I intend to do a thorough PDI of my own once it arrives in Bangalore. The countdown has begun guys

he he, nothing like that - lets say on a bad area its 5% skill, 20% pleasure, 25% concentrated power of will to go till the last patch and a big 50% Luck. A 2wd being as it is, those percentages will change to 100% Pain the day I get stuck big time.

And nothing to get too worried also, sure everything is just so good and okay. Congrats again.

And also good to see the current new users, most of them going for a 4wd. Flawless wisdom!

I am sure it will. The opportunities will come out of the blue, and that is when you feel the worth of the 65g's and the meaning of the wide grin on your face!

I got my first taste when I was in Mangalore - beach side and all vehicles parked at the tip of the tarred road... as for me, I just drove on to the beach away from the crowd. (I have it and flaunting it!!!)

How do I know all this - this was all present in a June manufactured 2.2, so I am sure the July batch has them!
Just validated with a TML personnel - no techincal (software/mechanical) upgrades, including ECU s/w, clutch assembly, etc. have happened since April and therefore July vehicles would have all of these.

Great; so now we know from which batch on-wards one does not have to worry about the upgrades.

So, how is the loan processing? Hope?

Guess so! Though I will not be 100% convinced till I check out the vehicle (hopefully) this weekend.

After repeatedly bashing up the HDFC guys, I came to know the reason for delay - apparently their system did not have an entry for "Safari 2.2 VTT DICOR EX 4x4" and they could not map my loan application to a variant Now the mapping is *added* and I have been promised that the disbursal would happen by today EOD

^^ ROFL!!! That is one of the weirdest reasons that I have heard!!!

Thank God that the *adding* happened fast and did not go through the typical approval cycle delays one gets to see!

Hope to see a "Got the draft" post today night, from you!

If possible, why don't you camp out at their office. I know, they are supposed to do their job and all that, but you need your work done and done fast. So, spend a day at the bank.

We had one of ours recently doing the same at Canara bank! And due to some strange policy, he actually had to camped out at the Executive Directors office (one of the only two ED's Canara Bank, India has!). End result, the loan got processed just in the nick of time!
