Sir, where was the pothole ridden road you talk about? The only "bad" stretch we had was that 500m of broken road. Just stones.

Apart from that, we too were flying. The bad roads were actually towards the estates from Chikmagalur town.

So, you are not actually adding to anyone's envy. There is ABSOLUTELY no envy to begin with! Ask any of the guys how much fun we had blasting down the curving roads!

The T-log was just written in a lighter vein just for fun, no actual envy/offense meant. Don't take it so seriously guys

. Anyone going in that route again in the next few days can try the other NH-206 route.

What I was referring to were the CR Patna - Hassan and Belur-chikmagalur parts which were quite bumpy due to road constructions and unevenly filled potholes. The NH-206 was just re-tarred recently and is like 1 single, wide road for the entire distance. Very scenic and no traffic either.

@Nikhil - btw, I saw you holding a camera in some photos here. Where are your pictures?? Upload them please

@shishir_bn: Your last pic looks like some monumental structures. At the first glance, I was wondering where was this place near the resort, then observed closely and remembered that it was the balcony of the restaurant. Very well captured. Even the coffee cup pic looks good.

@shishir_bn - brilliant pics.. The pic of the wooden fencing on the balcony at night looks amazing. I agree with guyfrmblr. I thought that looked like stone henge or something like that

@others - did anyone shoot any videos by any chance, of the convoy offroading into the resort or mass overtaking on the highway or anything like that? those would be funny to watch now

I completely agree with Nikhil. The only bad part was the stone ridden road around Chikmagalur. Otherwise the entire stretch was quite decent and we were flying throughout. The pothole ridden roads were infact after Chikmagalur town towards the resort. That was the exact reason we stuck to the tried and tested road while coming back because the bad part was already over. We encountered some light traffic after Hassan/CR Patna but that didn't stop us from flying. In fact, NH-206 is no match for the section from Bellur Cross to Neelamangala for the reason we all knew while going

Vroom Vroom!!!
I am planning a half-day trip to Shravanabelagola next weekend just to enjoy that stretch again. Anyone interested?

I have 3 videos. Its not very professional but viewable. One of the video shows us flying between Chikmagalur - kadur. One dumb question - How to upload videos in this site? Should I upload in youtube and paste the link here or how is it?

@Asdon ---- Definitely! Thanks for giving us the information about the NH206. Definitely plan on driving there sometime soon!

I actually loved the roads so much, I went back yesterday with some friends to Belur and then to Halebidu. We did some sightseeing, came back from Halebidu to Belur and then to Hassan where we had lunch and left.

The roads were fantastic again! We had some traffic on our way towards Belur but on our way back we had an absolute BLAST! Next time, it's definitely NH206!

@KarthikK -- I will post the pics soon. But nothing great. My pics were quite ordinary. Nothing new or different from what is posted here. This is why I didnt bother posting any pics.
