Quick mini-meet(s) in Kochi (Cochin)

Oh happy to see that this was a fantastic meet. I missed it as was away to Trichur. The ambiance appears to be much better than from Fort Cochin. Missed the opportunity of seeing JayD's Landy, as you know I am a great Amby/Landy fan.

@Rajeev sir - You missed it. I would still prefer F.Kochi since we have shops there to grab a bite. I would recommend F.Kochi next time.

@deetjohn - Yes, this was planned in a couple of hours. But watch out, we might have a meet on Feb 17th.

@Rajoy - Better be there next time.

So guys, will Feb 17th be fine since Speed.demon is busy after 22nd with 'god knows what'.

I too am on the same page with nkg77 that Fort Kochi gets crowded these days. How about the upcoming Auto Show that will be held between 15th and 17th? I'm not too sure of the venue, but I think it is Kaloor Stadium. I briefly read about it from a banner near Mathrubhumi office today morning and I can only vaguely remember the details now.

But let's meet there briefly and drive off together to some less crowded place - an eatery perhaps?

Oh, had a mini meet with Vaisakh day before yesterday at ekm. Watch out guys, his brand new Swifty is going to get real awesome, he has a couple of cool upgrades planned!

I would really love to join the next meet. Problem is the dates. I need to plan in advance. After coming back to Kerala, all I have time for is going for different functions over the weekend.

But a big NO for the auto show. Would prefer some not so crowded place with loads of parking, the Kalamassery - Vallarpadam road perhaps? I have never been on that and have heard good things about it. But do let me know in advance so that I can wiggle out of prior commitments.

Fort Kochi is crowded but what better place with eatouts and lot of tress giving ample shade? Auto show wont be a good idea but we can visit it and move to some other place. Vallarpdadam road is deserted but will be too hot and dont think there will be any place to grab a bite.

Any other place guys?

It is a good place, but as Naveen said, it will be very hot and there are no eateries anywhere.

And don't be tempted to floor the pedal once you are on it, there are a few danger spots where you might bottom out.

There's a stretch by the river side at willingdon island. Approaching from kundannoor, cross the BOT bridge junction and proceed towards harbour terminus/ harbour. There's a small check post. Just after the check post, there's place enough to park all rides in a line. The road is By the river side. There's culvert like basement constructed where you can sit down also.
You can see the fishing harbour across the river standing there.
Anyone who has understood the location, pls post a google map pic. I am restricted by net connectivity here and am posting this through app.

The closest eatery will be at thoppumpadi.
