I am in for a drive if its on a Saturday.

But not to Sholayar Dam. As I just did this last month and the Athirapally valparai road is pretty bad towards the end. We came back via Pollachi and Sholayar to Pollachi is a great drive but will take time to get back home.

I drove to palani via athirapally - sholayar- topslip- pollachi two years back. The roads then were pretty pretty bad. Non existent at some places. Thought it would've improved now.

The drive through the lonely jungle was an experience though. Another highlight was the drive through drifting fog at top slip. Fog I always there, whatever time of the day/ year

I did a trip even last week through that route. Roads have improved a lot. Also spotted an Elephant herd ( with a Baby elephant ). Also an ottayaan.

The reason I suggested back and forth through the same route was to spot the elephant at some point.

Seems not much of enthusiasm on the proposed meet. If not being materialised for the long weekend of 29, 30 & 31, is there any alternate line of thoughts??
31st being Easter Sunday, skepticism is quite understandable.

On April 5,6 and 7, Ford Ecosport is being displayed at Oberon Mall. Why don't we peak our horns at Oberon then? We could take stock of the car too.

I am sorry, that might not be possible, you guys go ahead with meet as planned since the majority is for 31st.

Yes, it is. Any other place would be a welcome change.

There's a place near Taj Malabar. We could find a suitable place there for the meet.

Yeah. That's a nice place. Either by the jetty next to taj or else we can walk into the foreshore road over looking the channel.

By the way, the twin bridges between kundannoor and BOT bridge junction is still under renovation. So, come through Atlantis - Thevara road towards the island. Most of us would be aware, however, a fore warning wouldn't hurt
