Think the trip will go down the drain. As for the mini meet, 5th May is fine. I'm driving to Blore on 8th. Anyone else for a mini meet on 5th May?

First let's decide the location guys. What about munnar?

Munnar is a nice option. Does any one have idea of any place which is unexplored? Munnar, I felt is quite common place.

How about Gavi? But I hear that tourism is restricted there now. Anyone has any inputs?

Additionally, I was thinking if we could make it a family meet. So that our ladies would also have some company when we are yapping around of our interests.

Yes , of course. That's a great idea. Will make it a summer camp/drive/meet.

Am single though, don't have a girlfriend either, so I'll be coming alone.

That sounds like a good idea. My better half also wanted to join me to see what this TBHP MEET is all about.

I have a few suggestions as for destinations.

1) Nelliyampathy (the roof of Kerala)
2) Wagamon
3) top slip (if the athirapally -sholayar road is good)
4) panchalimed
5) Peerumed, kuttikkanam, kumily, Thekkady

6) Parunthumpara. I haven't been to this place. But as from what I hear, it seems to be good.

I also read in the Fast track of April Malayalam edition that there's a lion safari at neyyar dam at Trivandrum. Will that be stretching too much of a distance?

Let's try a hilltop for the trip. The trip should be an escape from the scorching heat. Wagamon should be good. If we have quite a few number of better halves, how about a night halt? Say, sat night stay and return on sun afternoon? Just a suggestion else, we can stick to the 1 day drive.

He he, you're nor the only bachelor around mate, I'm here as well. Let's be the rocking duo, eh? :P

@Naveen: Not sure about the night halt. Of course, if more people prefer that we can go ahead with that plan.

You won't be the lone singles. Recallers, mistakenguy, Bigbrad all are bachelors I believe. Rather, thinking again, I think there were only three married guys (me, Naveen and coolclouds) in the last meet. So the majority is actually on your side.

May be you can check out Valparai. Its got number of hairpins, good for adventure riding as it has got a long stretch of high range forest to cover to get there (52 kms appro). But that is also stretching too much of distance I guess. I also don't know if they allow bikes into that high range forest as you are sure to see wild species. I traveled long back with my cousin but that was in a car.

All the places I had suggested, except Neyyar dam, are hill ranges. I am in for an over night stay. If its an over night thing, then we should arrange stay and all well in advance. In which case, we will have to get firm numbers of who all will be turning up.

Topslip, which is numbered (3) in the list I had suggested, is at Valparai. The place is good which includes a drive through the jungles. However, the last time I travelled there, the roads were in a very bad state, pathetic at best. We shall garner some updates about the road in due time if the consensus points to that location.

And for biking, NO!!! We were planning of going on a car.

Can we have some tentative dates please?
Me too on bachelor side this time as my wife is carrying.
