[Blue Thunder]

12:45pm - 1:15pm

It was decided that we would have the off-roading first, then head out to Mahabs for lunch (though it was already lunchtime !!!) The convoy started out from groud zero and headed towards the Beach Off-Roading spot. This was about 15 kms short of Mahabs, next to a place called Thiruvidenthai.
The landmark for identifying this spot is a temple entrance arch which is on the right side (along a straight stretch of the ECR, without any other obstructions on the landscape). There are casuarina plantations on the left. At one spot there is an empty tract of land between two casuarina groves, and this is where we gathered for the offroading.

1:30pm - 3:45pm --> Beach Off-Roading (definitely not boring!!!)

4:00pm- 4:15pm --> Driving down to Mahabs for a late lunch.


4:15pm - 5:30 pm --> Lunch at Mahabs


6:00pm-6:20pm --> Driving from Mahabs to Fisherman's Cove , to do some fishing (for 'em Ferrai's :-))


6:30pm - 7:15pm --> Having the Time of My Life - drooling over the twin Ferraris, and shooting away to glory.




















7:15pm --> end of a wonderful day for all the Chennai Team BHPians, except me.


7:15pm - 7:30pm

Some Beach Off Roading again, this time just me/Karthi/Jana in my Gypsy : we went around the spot where the show was going on and reached the beach (in total darkness), and then took some long-distance pics of the Ferraris from the beach :-)

7:30pm --> end of a wonderfully glorious day for me/Karthi/Jana : and we head back home.

Great photos, & Blue Thunder nice description of the meet, never knew you had gone for another spin of off-roading. Would love to see the long shot of the Ferrari event you had shot.

I think even supremebaleno had taken the group shot, I guess once the group photo is uploaded we can start putting names(handles) to faces.

Hi guys,

Sorry, I couldn't spend too much time with you people.

Had to be at the Fisherman's Cove through the afternoon.

The only consolation is that i got to sit in the Ferrari and rev the engines...

the 10 minutes with you guys have left a good impression on me and would keep in touch...

That would take some time : I haven't printed it yet. I have it in the current reel in my camera, and there are a lot more pics to be taken before the reel gets over.
