yes people, we are ON! This thread just blew up today!

The plan is simple -

• We meet up at Uthandi toll at 7:30, preferably before the toll so that if there's anyone who wants to say hello, can do so without paying the toll.
• We agree on the breakfast joint (I've proposed a couple but I am okay with anything the group wants to go with, from a simple tiffin joint up till Radisson Blu)
• We agree on the common activities we want to do - presently it is just breakfast, but in case someone wants to visit a beach or temples etc - I am game.
• Now assuming we start at 7:45am after everyone gets together, we will be in Mahabs by 815am tops where we have breakfast, click pics and chitchat. Then junta can return back to Chennai as convenient.

I'll be bringing my 3 year old son along for the ride- he will bring his cars. hope you folks don't mind some 0bhp cars! Look out for the Red Swift with HR 26 registration.

TL;DR version of my radio silence - I was traveling and without connectivity.

Sorry I was away in mumbai and shit happened.
Silliest crap ever - it was a day trip. Took my personal number (the one that gopi has) and the nokia was out of charge. nowadays no one has a nokia charger! so i couldnt take out his number to let him know.

My own mobile finished my data quota today and vodafone put me on 64 kbps, but practically even whatsapp wasnt working. I bought an add on plan but that didnt work till late evening when I was running to the airport. Mentally I thought the thread is silent because the app didnt show any notifications! my bad.

The five star where I was doing my company training charged a bomb for using wifi. So that wasnt available.

Loved the ride, guys, and loved the discussion over breakfast. Phamily man's son is cute and active so that was an added bonus. Had to rush back home because one it started raining and two Jayalalitha had her day in court.

Butterball not open so idli vada dosa etc at A2B (Adyar Ananda Bhavan). And then a quick dash to buy up provisions for the next few days and withdraw money before all the stores shut down. Stores, ATMs etc are all closed but no violence reported except within a few hundred meters of politicians homes and party offices. I heard in the media that some violence and bus burning took place on 100 ft road but two of my uncles live there and they say traffic is flowing normally, though faster as many vehicles are off the roads, and they haven't heard any riots outside their houses.

Luckily I filled my tank just yesterday and a under 100 km ride to Mahabs still leaves me enough for the next few days. Those pumps that remained open on the sly were selling at horrifically inflated rates, I hear. As are every provision store, vegetable vendor etc that are operating with six inches of shutter open.
