I am still game for this meet, if the dates are sometime in September.

TBHP Bangy Meet

HYD Tbhp Patrons,

Look at this

http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/team-b...-bangy-20.html

We had a similar meet at somewhere 40 kms away from Bangalore.

Wouldnt u all wanna meet our next door patrons and discover/share passions?

BLR Patrons,

Lets take Sep 08 seriously for the midway meet?

Hyd-Bangy Midway Meets

I have the experience of 2 such Hyd - Bangy midway meets.

First time (2002), we set a roadside Dhaba at Dhone as the meeting point. This dhaba comes on the LHS after we cross the Reliance and HP fuel banks, while going from Bangalore.

Dhone is ~300 kms from Bangalore and ~270 kms from Hyd.

We then rode back to Kurnool where we stayed at Hotel Rajvihar deluxe (IIRC). Pretty decent hotel. Another thing I remember correctly is, liquor was dirt cheap at Kurnool

Second time (2005), we met at Gooty and then proceeded towards Hampi.

In the current context, if it is only Hyd and Bangy teams, then the first option given above can be tried out.

Personally, I am more interested in Nandyal/Ahobilam, as I have never been there.

I will be able to join this meet if it happens in September.

Guys how about clubing this meet with the interstate meet happening in october during 2nd weekend.

Hell i am coming down from hyderabad. Rather i am travelling from hyderabad in a train, so guys lets seriously think over it. We still can have the b'lore - hyderabad mid way meet though some time later, which we can enjoy more because we would be more familiar with each other if we could meet at Yercaud.

We can plan the mid way meet for November at Humpy, i heard its a lovely time to be there. Ofcourse we should plan things at Humpy after the Humpy festival.

For the folks who dont know much about Humpy do search about HUMPY ISLAND. I think that island is known as Vivupapara Island.

Rajan

OH. You mean this Hampi - Raja's Blog: Ride to Hampi.
Got it. But still don't get the ISLAND bit.
BTW I came back from Queensland long back. Oct 2005 to be precise.

Cheers,

Rajan

There are two sides in Humpi:
This side and the other side of the thungabadra river. I am refering to the other side, it is known as mini Goa. I still dont understand how you missed it in the search after explaining it. Now search again, this time dont come without full information

PS: Also look out(search) for virupapur gaddi(the name of the island)

You want to be in two places at the same time ?

Yercaud is suitable for the Kerala guys also. If we move the meet from Yercaud to Hampi, then it will change plans for that meet completely. This will mix up things a lot.

I'm fine with Hampi, but let's schedule that to not clash with the Yercaud meet. One other thing about that meet is the place is decided, and the details are being worked out. Hampi is the new suggestion for the BLR-HYD mid-way meet - we are yet to decide on the place itself.
