Guys,
here's a list of things to bring to Sakleshpur, other than for your vehicles.
  1. Tents with mats.
  2. blankets OR sleeping bags.
  3. warm clothes.(it could get chilly)
  4. pillows (for people who are used to them)
  5. waterproof jackets OR raincoats.
  6. umbrella
  7. walking/trekking shoes OR floaters.
  8. torches/emergency lamps.
  9. ODOMOS.(very important for people who can't stand insects)
If anyone has a barbeque kit,it'll help.

Friends,

We did a recee yesterday to find some interesting OTR spots/Trails and be ready for one thrilling experience. Won't say more :-)

Also, just so that you get a sense of the place where we will be camping, you can get a very sneak peek if you observe the avtar of 'chandan' -- our very gracious host

PS: I will be posting a detailed report on what are the MANDATORY items you need to carry & the detailed plan later today.

Can't wait for the thrills. You told that there will be only 10% OTR at the beginning of this thread. Any changes in figure ? Sirji, Mine is a 550 not 540 . We (Kittigadu, aqua) went out on Saturday, and got all the recovery gears and toolkits. Man, it was a hilarious task.

Thanks

What do you want. more or less? Trust me, the photographer in you will be more than happy to click pictures of the place where we will be camping. It's just soooooooooooooo beautiful and to top it, you can do some off-roading there/nearby also.
