Bombay Ramadaan Meet Thursday 11th Sept '08

After seeing the pics on this thread, I decided to make my own trip tonight, couldn't really wait for round 2 to happen with you guys (I'm very much in for that one though). My particular interest was in the Baida Roti and the Nan Sandwich, both of which were absolutely excellent. Topped off by the tri-coloured kebabs (really, it doesn't get more amusing than this!) and then some phirni. What an evening!

Guys, need some help... i plan to head down there tonight with some friends, but we are all very unfamiliar with the area so would need some easy directions. Where should i park and where should i walk?
To make it a little easier i'd like to mention that my interests lie in sheekh kababs, khichda,phirni,biryani,etc NO organ meat so please advice accordingly

Bohari mohalla is just after shalimar hotel signal under JJ flyover. Shalimar hotel comes on the right side while going from cst. Just after the signal walk ahead to find this public toilet! The walls are brown in color. Walk ahead and at the next left take this road which is the saifee ambulance galli. Just keep walking in this galli to get all sorts of kababs and tangdis. Please try the tangdis which was amazing. This is the same place opposite the haaleem waala. Just check out gogis post as the directions given were among the best i have seen. Park the car on the road side as the gallis get too crowded.

After seeing all these pics and Gogi's report I am very much tempted to go there. It was realy fun and you guys enjoy alot. I am reaching Mumbai on Friday 18th around 11.30 pm and probably will come out from airport at 12 night. I have next flight in the morning 6 am so I wants to explore the BM and other places..

I want to know till what time we can get the food there, if its too late for these joints then can I go to Delhi Darbar or Shalimar. I will be with family, so is it wise to go there till 1 - 1.30.
