I have still not recd any photos from the show, not from my camera and not from the pro photographer.
But without further ado, I'll start showing you what I have, so you can be a little more patient till the pro photos are in.
The posts I make will not be in chronological order, as I do not have the photos of the first 3 days. However since the topic is on Mr and Miss JBL, let me describe to you ONE evening out of the many at this mother of all events.
We had 2 pro photographers at the show, taking photos of the bikes and the guys and the lovely gals and we were printing out many and handing them over and even framing the bass king photos.
But till then, for those of you that missed it - here is a quick recap of the evening of the contest.
Waiting for the sun to set.
While there was a little party every day in the JBL private room, I was not always present to be a part of it. Many BHPians like Aditya, Dippy, Fireblader and Speedzak were part of the crew that was making sure that everything ran smoothly.
Iraghava was pretty much in charge of the judging angle of the contest and he set up the rules, questions and point marking system, briefing the other judges, normally_crazy, Aditya, Klaus and Andy (from JBL). Last year Zak was part of the judging committee, but this year Zak was really busy, pretty much in charge of all the lovely ladies backstage and singularlyresponsible for making sure that every performance on stage went through smoothly.
His help was deeply appreciated, he kept insisting it was just for the chance to be inside the backstage party. I'd say he really likes them girls though... lol
Members like Arpandiv (DoggDigga) and Flying Spur are around to help in any way they can. Iceman is having a party and showing off his nitro RC cars...
We do not have much time, the crew are running around like headless chickens, the lights, stage and sopund is perfect, we're waiting for the sun to set so we can start up the stage lights.
The crowd is swelling.
Meanwhile in the JBL private room, the BHPians are having a lovely time with their beers and bacardis. Power Horse gets word that JBL is having a private party and they decide to sponsor us a few crates of their energy drink too.
Some are chatting and excitedly relating stories of the Bass Kings and the lovely, lovely girls all part of the JBL crew. Some have tried, some even successful at taking a girl (or two) out of lunch or a coffee.
Some are busy discussing the rules of the personality contest and going through the entries.
All in all it is a blast.
You can also see mmmjgm, V12, Ford Rocam and Mad monkey in these photos.
Outside having a blast are the bangy boys, the pune boys and more. I actually think this was one of the largest congregation of BHPians I have ever seen.
The crowd is buliding. Khushi and Neeraj are on stage and they call Alina and Sana up for a little chat. The Beautiful JBL twins are ready to give up their mantle this year.
So many good things have happened to them over 2008, they are so easily recognised now, thanks for Big Boss and more.
Everyone is in place. The 4 bouncers are not enough and F50, Fireblader, Arpandiv (doggdigga) and flyingspur take it upon themselves to try and control the crowd.
Now - it's showtime.
