Total cost actually seems to go down when you consider the Puthussery boat!

- Rs.4,000 for a 20-pax boat is Rs.200 per head + Rs.250 per head for food and snacks = Rs.450 per head total.

- Rs.12,000 for a 30 pax boat including food, snacks and tea is Rs.400 per head!

I think we should go for the bigger boat, guys! We can also cram in about 33-35 on this boat - Puthussery is the largest operator around and are not likely to be bothered by the cops.

Its a no brainer now, the bigger boat is definitely better!! I guess we'll have enough people to fill it, and if not, we'll have enough space to spread out!

PUTHUSSERY HOUSE BOAT
Charges - Rs.12,000/- incl lunch(fish curry meal), tea and snacks.
Cruise timings will be 12 noon to 6pm.

Seems a steal deal if we can manage 30 people onboard! Rush your confirmations by posts/PM's/SMS's.

cheers:

Me+2 confirmed!! It is likely to become Me+3 also!

Just spoke to the boat guy! Please take note of the 'Starting' Point.

"FINISHING POINT" of Nehru trophy 'vallam kali' (desi-boat race)!!!!
Thatz where the boats starts and all of us must reach there by atleast 11.30am!

Also, I missed out a food stuff in the above list. Please note 'Chicken curry' also would be there for lunch!
Vegiterians will get sambar and other usual vegitable side stuffs! Meals will be complete with veg curries. (say a tini sadya - small feast)

in that case lets confirm the big boat right away and calculate the cost with 27 confirmations. it wont make a big difference from 30. and we have spare capacity for last minute cheap guests.

Hydra's probably watching the thread and maintaining a tactful silence!
All in favour of kidnapping Hydra from his residence on sunday morning, please let us know.

@nikki- I have no clue where the nehru boat race starts.
please put up the location so that we can meet up with the TVM guys.
TCR and CBE can meet us on the NH47 sarovaram/whyte fort area.

@kphillip- will you be joining us?

I am alive and kicking Zak'd SMSd me about the thread.

I won't be able to make it for this one either. My sister's in the last stages of her pregnancy with the expected date a bit too close to the meet-date. I'm on stand-by duty at home -- ready to take her to the hospital.

I will meet you folks before you lift anchor though Have fun, and float safely, heh heh.

I have absolutely no idea where the finishing point is. Wouldnt the finishing point for a BOAT race be in water rather than on land, though?

I think you'd better ask these guys for exact directions - we arent particularly famous for being on time even when we do know where we're going.

Which means we will have to meet up for breakfast at sometime around 8 am (waiting for the usual latecomers, finishing off breakfast, cigarettes, photos, ICE demos etc would mean that we start off by about 10).

The plan was to meet up for breakfast at Kashi Art Cafe in Fort Cochin - is this too much of a deviation for most people?

RipperGEO since most of our time we will be on WATER/in Water/waterinside us should this be called 'drive' at all since we/he would be piloting the boat most of the time.
