Yes the moment you drive into Karnataka, the roads become wider and maintaining an average of 90-110 wont be a problem for hours together. Traffic hits once you pass Tumkur. But yes as you mentioned its much better than the very celebrated Mumbai-Pune expressway.
To be fair, I think Mumbai-Pune is safe in terms of Animals / human beings trying to walk across the highway.
I am almost becoming a regular driver on this highway.

OK, I will move to the confirmed list now although I have dropped the plans to stay there after the meet - I did not see any mention of a family outing so cancelling that plan.
(still have slight misgivings about missing the Aus GP - had to be in the morning too ) - perhaps a saturday drive would be better?
