The "Farewell Issigonis" meet !! (Lunch: Sun 13th of Feb, Mumbai)

Guys,

Since we still have some time, I'd like to suggest some venues for the meet. The location is frozen at Bandra (W), as this seems to be central and convenient for issigonis, and for most of us.

Your comments, experience with either place, and further suggestions are welcome. Issigonis, over to you..

1) Global Fusion
2) 5 - Spice
3) Out of the Blue.

had anyone else suggested bandra, i'd have stayed away. for you superselect, i don't mind coming (kicking and screaming).
guess there's ample space to park.

I vote for 5 Spice. Lets do Chinese for a change. The food there is awesome and the quantities are humongous to say the least.

I am in for this as Great Escape has been postponed

And yeah 5-spice for me too!! Parking is a slight problem though.

All the best Issigonis. I'm likely in the middle of house shifting that weekend but I'll really try my best to make it. Will be nice to meet BHPians in person.

I think Global Fusion and Out of the Blue are way more conversation friendly plus easier on parking.

Ok guys there is a small issue. The Bryan Adams concert is on the 12th of Feb and I might be going for that. So there will be a clash of timings. Is there anyway it can be a lunch meet or postponed to Sunday by any chance? Please?

Dippy I think it is a lunch meet only. You can enjoy Bryan Adams. Have an extra pass?

Guys,
I spoke with Issigonis earlier today and he has the meet date as the 13th of February which is a Sunday whereas here the date being mentioned is 12th Saturday. So which one is it??

Super select kindly clarify between Saturday the 12th and Sunday the 13th.

No 13th pls...I have a marriage in my close relation to attend, hence would be there for the whole day and wont be able to attend this

because immediately after the food I would like to go to KULLU, MANALI, SRINAGAR for a short while by taking a large pinch of ENT till I reach Home ,like how it was on our KAKORI meet. Regards.

Kindly if possible keep the date 13th. because I may have to attend our AGM of the society on 12th.

Hey guys, the date is certainly the 12th, and not the 13th - the title of this thread itself says it !!

Also, so far it was supposed to be dinner..

Can we take an informal vote on the Lunch or Dinner bit ?
I myself would prefer dinner, as I (like many others I'm sure) work Saturdays.. But I'll go with the majority !

Iqbal ji, I'll definitely get 'Gulab (ENT) Supari' along. Khoj also remembers it quite fondly !

Hi Chaps,

Was speaking to issigonis at length, a while back.

It appears, some of us won't make it on Saturday (12th) for Dinner, and some won't make it on Sunday (13th) for Lunch.

It's only fair that we take a poll and decide the final date. Issigonis is ok with both.

Moderators, can we please have a poll ?

Title: Date for the "Farewell issigonis" meet in Mumbai.
1) Saturday 12th February 2011, Dinner.
2) Sunday 13th February 2011, Lunch.

Unfortunately, am not in town on either days, business travel. Hence, have to skip the meet.
