This is what I had done with my old 800.
Removed all the rubber mats in the car, sprayed Hit liberally in the car (avoid directly hitting the dash as it would leave marks on it). Also spray in the boot including under the spare tire as i noticed roaches there too and let the car cook in the sun for a couple of hours with all the glasses rolled up.
After that asked my cleaner to clean my car thoroughly and stopped keeping/eating any kind of food in my car.

Thats something I'd never spray in my car. Better to try some kinda repellant... maybe napthalene balls, something like Odopic, etc. Anyway, never had any pests in the car, ever. Not even a single over all these years. Anybody who does any activity remotely resembling eating or smoking in the car sees a fire breathing dragon bearing down on him... :D

This once happened to me on a long drive as well.. I saw this gum stuck onto the roof only after 3 days when I returned home and it had hardened. :Frustrati

Try using WD 40 soaked in a nice big cotton swab. Leave it over night and wash off in the morning with some warm soapy water and it will be good as new again!.

Can you please clarify why not to spray. Any surety about the other suggestions working. Well i dont have a major infestation, but a couple of days back there were a couple of small cokroaches in the backseat and one near the dashboard

^^^Well, it can react badly on the stuff that it is sprayed on! Its not anywhere close to inert, after all. Also, a car is a closed space - you dont wanna be breathing that stuff when you are inside. You could well be breathing those fumes for days!

I cannot guarantee that the other methods will work because, as I said, have never had a pest problem inside the car. But they are less harmful and worth trying out.

Stuff like napthalene balls/odonil/etc can be taken out and the car ventilated a bit before driving out...

Hi everyone, i searched everywhere for WD 40 but did not find it. The chewing gum on the car was really irritating me so finally i decided to try Mr Muscle kitchen cleaner on the car...i sparyed just a bit where the gum marks were and after 30 seconds i rubbed it off with a clean soft cloth and poured water over that area and the chewing gum marks were gone clap:
I dont know if this is the best thing to do, but it worked hence thought of sharing it with you guys.

^^^It cant be that difficult to find. You get it in hardware shops, supermarkets, auto accessory shops, etc.

Mr. Muscle and other cleaners aren't the best idea. You never know how they might react with painted surfaces!

First get your car inspected and find from where do they enter. There must be some damage in your car. Get it fixed first.
After getting your car fixed, get your car properly vaccumed.

agree: I intend to get the WD 40 ASAP, but i did not find it anywhere in the stored near my appartment, hence in desperation used Mr. Muscle.:)

Gentlemen, could anyone here suggest a good brand washer liquid for wipers. I use the wipers quiet regularly to clean the windshield and the resovouir keeps getting empty.

Do you have a Maruti? At the last service the MASS put some wiper fluid in the reservoir. It seem to be quite good! I was told that its marketed by Maruti.

Else you could try Waxpol's product. Not tried it myself though, so can't comment on it.

Haven't seen any other brand in shops.
