Simply put green one is better compared to blue. More info:
1. Green one has wax in it which gives more shine in comparison to the blue one.
2. You may need to buff green one more as it has wax.
3. Lastly don't let green one dry in Sun as it may leave marks considering it has wax.

Tried out machine polishing on my bike finally! Was glad to see that the clear coat was very soft compared to the super hard one on my car.

Decided to go with a one step Megs #83 DACP with Megs Yellow polishing pad on the rotary. Removed the tank cap + emblems on the sides as prep.

50/50 : Left done with one pass of DACP, right as before.



Sealed the finish with Meguiars M21. End results:







Used super degreaser to clean the engine area, worked very well:

Thats a really good job. Wish other bikers had the same passion for looks rather than cheap stickers.

In what concentration did you use the super degreaser? Did you just spray on and wash off with running water or did you agitate with a brush or something?

I used 1:4 and recommended is 1:4. Spray then rub with a brush/cloth. Never let it dry and rise thoroughly.

Today the day had come! Got the car back from service and started work.

Before:



I got these I-dont-know-what-animal-hair brush from my bike mechanic who uses them to clean carbs. Came in very handy today.



Covered the ECU; sprayed teh engine bay with water + little bit of NXT Car wash using a pump pressure sprayer. Sprayed Super Degreaser 1:4 and then scrubbed using a toothbrush and the hair brush. Scrubbed and cleaned the top of the hood as well!



Time to dry the engine, out came the power tool just for the job :D



How to use : Hold the blower in one hand and a dry towel on the other hand. Keep towel in front of the nozzle so that all the water that is blown out is immediately absorbed by the towel. I used the blower mainly to dry off all connectors/sensors. Wherever there is standing water, use a normal towel to dry it.



Sprayed Meguiars Hyper Dressing 1:4 and spread it around using a clean brush. End result:





Started the engine and it started well :D saw tons of smoke from rear, realised its just Hyper Dressing burning from exhaust manifold.

With the engine done, moved on to the seats.

Before:



Tools for the job. Meguiars APC 1:4, Cloth brush and couple of clean clothes.



Spray APC on the seats, let it dwell for a minute and scrub it using the brush. If a particular area is dry, squirt a bit on the brush and scrub the area.



Wipe off the foam using clean cloth GENTLY. If you apply pressure, the dirt goes back on the seats. If any area is still unclean, try again with clean brush and APC. End result:



Whenever the cloth is slightly damp, change to a fresh cloth. Others might not have to struggle so much as what I did, but I probably have the worst colour for seats..white. Even when I sit on the seats wearing clean clothes, it gets dirty!

So I finally cleaned the tyres! APC 1:4, scrub, clean and Hyper Dressing 1:4 on tyres. Alloys just wiped with a damp cloth



I have a nasty habit of never cleaning the pads; I clean them only when I have to use them. Took out all dirty pads. Lake Country, Megs 4inch, Local pads, Megs 7+6.5inch, Applicator pads.



Cleaned and arranged them on the rack. I'll do a proper bookshelf for these pads next week!



Sprayed body with remaining NXT car wash+water from sprayer on the body, wiped it down adn gave a coat of M26. Result:

WD-40 never fails to impress! My driver had driven over tar and that had resulted in overspray onto the running board and the rear bumper. There was a LOT of tar and I initially thought I may need to buy TarX or similar compound to get rid of it.

Just thought i'd give WD-40 a try,sprayed it and immediately it began dissolving the tar,just like any other tar removing compound would do. A little scrubbing and the panel had no sign of tar. Clayed and polished the area later.

I whole-heartedly recommend WD-40 to anyone who has to deal with tar over spray on a regular basis. It is definitely more safe than using diesel. Do wash,clay and polish the area after applying WD-40

Thanks for the suggestion. A small clarification, if we use TarX, still we need to do wax,clay and polish..?

WD40 contains napththa which is chemically similar to Diesel/kerosene. WD-40 is very effective is removing tar so is diesel/kerosene. All are equally safe or harmful to the paint. Diesel/Kerosene costs a fraction of WD-40 clap:.

Yes you need to wax the area as these compounds remove existing protection.

What are the recommendation for chrome polish? I am not looking for metal polish.

I have used "SILVO" from Reckitt Benckiser, the same company which makes the famous "brasso". I picked it up from the local supermarket. Works well. I tried on my plumbing fittings at home, though (Marc....never buy these, they get stained very soon). Some people have used vinegar too, I am not too sure!

Waxpol metal polish. Works remarkably well in Chrome and removes surface rust with ease.

Just used the Optimum Car Wax lying around with me for over a year. I never really liked the look it gave and given how easy it is to use, I wasn't sure if I can trust it.

Since my full detailing session got delayed by a few weeks, I was getting worried whether the car is protected. I didn't have the time to use a paste wax or a sealant so decided to give OCW another try. I have one word for it - Wow! I finished the whole car is under 15 minutes, it is looking good like it has a wax on it and I know it is protected from water and UV. Brilliant product, super easy to use, excellent price. I liked it so much that I finished my bottle of 100ML.

Now I am researching into other spray waxes that can be used as a topper or between full detailing sessions. The emphasis is on "Waxes" so spray sealants like Meg's Ultimate Quick wax, Carpro Reload and Chemical Guys V7 are not being considered. Please let me know if any good spray waxes are available in India. I have enough paste waxes, polymer sealant and Hybrids in my arsenal.

Can anyone tell me which polish I can use on fibre parts of my bike. I've a 4 yr old black ZMA, and paint on one side of it's front fairing has faded. It's quite an eyesore. I already have Formula 1 liquid wax with me, and need to know which polish I can use.
