Hi Eddie,

Really enjoyed reading through the restoration project, the Dupont paint gives it a real classic look. And your involvement in the entire project is something else man. The attention to detail .. Kudos to you. A job very well done indeed.

Hi, my friend your RVMs can be casted out from plastics to steel, just check out with any guy doing Casting from SG iron or Melleable, he'll make patterns out of your plastic regular RVMs and then will cast them, then you can get a rough steel surface, get a shotblast of them, and then galvanised it or chrome it.

this will really work!

Great project...

I doubt if you guys have a hand in the production of Maruti A-star. A-star is very similar to the modified 800.

- wheel size and alloy type
- Front seats positioned like race cars
- low seater
- disc brakes...

Awesome mods! Great upgrades with the wheels and tyres! Aluminum door trim? interesting! btw that pattern is used in the floor board in many buses if I am right. Looks very familiar, that pattern. Have you done any performance mods?

zeropointeight, the love of my life is a without a heart.........a very sudden but silent withdrawal! The piston rings collapsed leading to some serious repairs requiring serious money!

Drawing optimistically from this situation, i decided to leave her on blocks till i have the funds to get her a new more potent heart!

Too bad - but the "more potent heart" bit should bring a smile to your face. What heart are you looking at? The 1.1 L from the Alto or something else ?

Why do you want a bigger heart? i think you shouldn't fiddle much. Just get the stock engine worked upon with some OE parts and fire her up!

@ Jaggu: This was never really a rulebook restoration hence the bigger, more potent powerplant! I plan to do one of those later in the future!

@crackedhead: I'm looking for suggestions on which engine and where to get it from!

Ok if you are hell bend on doing it, go with a zen motor or an alto 1.1 liter, esteem 1.3 L is doable but will be an overkill.

I still prefer the stock 800 engine with lil bit of tweaking

Ouch ouch ouch. Sorry about that, bro. This is one of my all-time greats on this forum. I still have your original pic as a wallpaper.

But onto your silver lining. Engine-wise, you have the following choices:
1. Alto/Wagon R 1.1, 64 bhp, 5 speed.
2. JDM DOHC 1.1, 5 speed. Does about 9000 rpm carbed -- seen this personally.
3. Esteem engine. 85 bhp stock. Lots of mod potential when you have the time and money.
