I mean the white LED reading lights, the ones with individual switches.

Would the whine be audio able even with vehicle standing?

God knows, what they did the second time around. The fact remains that the problem still exists. One of these days, when I have a good hour to spare, I am going to call the RM and have a man-to-man talk.

I do believe that this is one of the design issues for which there is no solution yet.
Hi SDP and others,

I had this issue for a while and my RM at Sireesh auto in Bangalore mentioned that the A/C flaps were the cause of this problem and they needed to be replaced with ones that cover the opening which lets the air in completely. He asked for 2 - 3 days for replacing this flap as it involved removing the dashboard.

Eventually I got my vehicle back before 2 days and the problem had gone away. My RM also mentioned that he had done some testing in areas around a few drains near the service station which are known to emit foul smell. It has been 4 months now and the problem has never come up again.

Talk to your RM, just cleaning the A/C duct is not sufficient, your RM may know this and is probably avoiding it for the complexity of work and the time it needs

Can it be checked at the service station? Tomorrow I take my vehicle to President Motors in Surat. Will try and have
1. A/C free service
2. See if the new brake pedal and pads can be fitted.
3. Wiper blades/ arms making a squeaking sound.
4. New trip metre - heard some new 4 digit one is being fitted?
5. Head light bulbs - heard same being upgraded to 80w?
Regards

Please let us know what happens. Eager to understand M&M's stance on brake-pedal and 80W bulbs.

PS: The 4 digit trip-meter is a software upgrade.

When I got my brake pedal changed, the RM mentioned that until this point there is no official re-call for pedals. Only people who complain of poor braking and spongy pedal are the ones that will be replaced.

What is it about the 80 W bulbs? Same pattern of only poor light complaints will get an upgrade?

I also heard from my RM that there is a Maps and an Infotainment system upgrade on the way, but that's still about a couple of months or so away

Revvster from Mumbai had got his low-beam-bulbs replaced at the A.S.S. with 80W ones. He paid for the bulbs. There is no clarity in terms of if M&M is recommending 80W bulbs instead of 50W and if this would be covered under warranty.

I am taking my XUV to service tomorrow and unfortunately left side low beam went off last night, AGAIN so i would have to anyway get new bulb, so will ask for 80 watts ones if he has it. Will get both left and right ones changed. Will update whatever happens.

Insist on warranty replacement for the bulbs. New bulbs are not supposed to fuse so early and so many times. Either there is something wrong with the bulbs or with the headlight wiring system. Irrespective of which, M&M should pick up the tab for the replacements. A permanent solution would be most welcome and would be like cherry on top.

Well as usual went with high expectations. Drove over 35kms, the RM was all helpful and positive, but the moment I showed no interest in a paid service the enthu died! So
Wiper assembly changed.
As the new brake pads and pedal were not in stock only "cleaning" was done. -I never saw them doing it!!
A/C not enough time
iPod - well as its a 120gb it is not supported! Only 2 to 4 GB is!!!!
I have been using this device for over one year only now it has started to "media disconnected"!
Lights - well only if you are having a problem they will modify the wiring or something. No upgrade of bulb!
4 digit trip metre - I already have the latest saw 4.04!! So all in all a waste of time and fuel!

Bad experience! Was this your regular service center and regular RM?

4.04 is the apparently the latest overall version. Even I have the same. But this version still has 3 digit trip-meter and not 4.

No I normally visit G3 Motors Mumbai but as I got a call from President motors Surat I decided to give them a try (I work in Hazira now)

Strange to hear that only upto 4 gb is supported. I have been using my 30 gb ipod since day one, never faced any issue.

Had a very strange experience today. Had driven some 20 Kms with AC on and parked my car in the covered parking at my house. After an hour started my car and to my horror, the AC refused to work. The Auto and AC buttons dint glow even after repeated presses. The AC worked only if the temperature is set to 'LO'. It refused to blow cold air from 16 to 30 displayed on the infotainment screen

Switched off the engine for a minute and restarted, still the same situation.. Drove for a km and switched off the engine for 2-3 mins and started. Voila, the AC is back to normal.

The issue has not occurred again during the day and the AC worked absolutely normal the whole day. What could be the reason ?

Edit : have a feeling now that the blower noise has increased by few notches. Don't know if its in my mind and just assuming things.
