Satguide & garmin

I was told by Satguide that their map will work with my Garmin iQue3200 only if their software is loaded after formatting. Well, I would not take that risk. What if my 39K unit gets fried..?

Best Solution

Hey guys,

Try GPSWatch on your phone from www.i10n.com with SE K750i

I use this in Bangalore, it pulls the maps from Virtual Earth, so you will have road maps as in the US for Bangalore !!!

Lets start sharing waypoint and POI's. Maybe we can make a good database. It could be also usefull for people travelling all accross the country.

someone had raised a question sometime back in this thread - if the satguide maps available here could be used with the new destinator 6 software available in other countries.
I asked destinator support - here is their reply.

Hello,

Destiantor 6 is compatible with older maps, so it should not be a problem.

If you have any other questions or concerns please feel free to contact us via email and we will gladly assist you.

Thank you,
Maria

Dude - the maps which you've bought for Rs3000/city on itemsofdesire are maps from MapKing.com,which provide them for around US $30/city !..comes to approximately Rs1,400/city.
Even sellers on ebay India are making money from this..they are selling mapking maps on ebay for Rs3000/city,more than double of the original map cost !
Netarchie - thanks for the PM help on the software issue !

Cheers,
-sr

dude i also checked out the mapking site ... but the map i bought is not the same as the one on the mapking site and i can vouch for it because i have both the maps ... this one is more detailed and more customized ... atleast thats what i found for the delhi map! And 2ndly it comes shipped to me on a disk! And moreover when i bought it along with the gps it was a bargain!

And let me tell u one conjucture of mine ... i somehow felt the ppl at itemsofdesire.com were good at providing support!
