As I said earlier u will need no replacement. Also exide Eternity will be needing electrolyte after some time as it is a lead cell battery. and u will be wasting ur time in this process . But in optima it is a gel and the battery is also sealed so no need for change .

I used to be an exide guy.
Then, one fine day, i switched to Amaron.

I think i'll be an Amaron guy for life. I'll vouch for their service anyday.

I dont know about Exide Eternity. But the site says it has a acid level INDICATOR which means that if the levels goes down u have to fill the ELECTROLYTE when required. And i am no sales person of amron

All batteries are the same

All batteries are similar with minor differrences ANS do NOT give a life of more than 3 years max. And we should be kidding ourselves if our batteries have no maintenance. The guys in service check / top up the DM water etc..

Amarons have an indicator.

If its green, its supposed to be in good condition.
If grey, call Amaron helpline

I was on vacation for 2½ months - battery disconnected on return connected and cranked - 3 starts and engine fires.

Same with my Standard Furukawa battery for my 800. I bought it in March 2002. No problem at all till last week when it suddenly died. The starter would not crank even half a turn.
Now I have got a sealed Exide. Lets see. I generally trust old household names.

People the battries we are talking here are the electrolyte type or lead car battery. they have acid in side when tillted the acid will spill or come out. But in optima the whole battery is seal u can install the battery any way u like even sideways also. So this make it a better than all the wet types. For all this type of features u will have to pay extra. and optima yellow top comes for 10k And I have it in my car.

I am the unlucky guy when it comes to batteries...

I have had issues with both Exide... and Amaron... and a couple of others too... (my OE Exide in my Crdi has lasted 3 years though without a problem..) .. Next batt of mine??.. I think I am going the yellow top way too... purely on overwhelming public opinion..
