Hi Wildon,
Can you please decode these two for me. I booked a Blue Punto 1.4 E+, no sign of getting one yet. So got these two vins from dealer, just incase I want to choose one.

MCA118A5C07006625JPZ (black)
MCA118A5C07005961JPZ(minimal grey)

The Vin provided is wrong. Please check again, it should be either 1185AC (1.4 16V E3 95CV/70KW EMOTION PACK) or 118A55 (1.3 16V E3 75CV/55KW EMOTION PACK)

07006625/07005961 = Chasis Number

JPZ= Its a September 2009 Make Vehicle.

Update: I just read your post in "I Booked my Car" thread and you booked a Petrol one so the VIN should be like this

MCA1185AC07006625JPZ (black)
MCA1185AC07005961JPZ(minimal grey)

Sorry, I lifted the chassis number from the sale invoice as I thought it will be the same as the VIN number! I have since checked under the hood and the number is stamped as MA3EYD81S01381489-D9.

MA3= Maruti Suzuki India
EYD81S = Engine/Varient used for Alto cars.
01381489 = Serial Number
D= April
9= Year 2009

Let see if i can cough up more details from the VIN if i get the right tools.

That is correct! It is indeed Alto and the production month checks with the RC book. I was hoping you might come up with the date of production as it can't be found anywhere!

Thanks Wildon, I think dealer mistyped it as A5C instead of 5AC when he gave it from his excel file. Anyway thanks again so if JPZ = Sept 2009, any idea what would be fcode or Oct /Nov 2009. I will wait from my color to arrive in that case.

I bought my Ford Fiesta a few weeks ago. The 11th digit is 9 & the 12th is A.
So in which month of 2009 was it manufactured?
