Actually the names are all confusing and replicated and I'm unable to find the proper part I'm looking for, Try finding M800's differential side drive shaft's price for a 5speed mpfi engine.

Now, I am told Maruti dealers won't sell spare parts over-the-counter (OTC). We will have to bring the car to their workshop and they will fit it. Sai Service @ Deccan/Pune refused to sell me some minor rubber parts OTC till I raised my voice. They told me that they are not authorized to sell OTC parts as it kills the business of standalone parts distributors. Can someone verify this? If it is true, then where can I buy OTC spare parts for my WagonR in Pune?

Thanks,

-BJ
As far as my car goes, I'v had the worst experience with Sai service at deccan in multiple ways which I won't get into here. They even refuse to change parts sourced by customers. In short, their service is just not acceptable. I do not go there unless its it is a very minor job or something... because the place where I go to is very far. But I still don't mind going there because I can't and won't put up with places like Sai Service. So please try other MASSs. Also, I know at least one MGP dealer/distributor who can sell you parts. PM me, if you want to know...

sai service is a very good service centre and they are the most reputed in pune, sangli and kolhapur. the only problem there is they go by rules so they dont sell over the counter not they fit parts that customer get to them, these are strict rules of Maruti Udyog limited. in case of part failure its very difficult to prove whether the part was faulty or the fittment which raises dispute. so they dont fit parts procured from outside. it is quite logical.

^^^ My experience and that of couple of my friends has been otherwise. Amongst the MASSs I'v tried, I'd rate them the worst in terms of quality of service also. However, my experience with them is a few years old. Don't know if they have improved. Regarding the parts fitment, etc., etc... frankly, I don't know what Maruti's rules are, but they don't work for me. So one more reason why I don't like them.

Btw, which other MASSs are you comparing them with?

^^^ My experience with Chowgule was better than Sai. But Millenium has been better still. Am considering Tune-up plus next time. Anybody has any experience with them?
