In Excel Sr. no 1171 has Alloy Wheel Swift for 3898 (I assume per piece)
My question is are these same alloys which comes in petrol Zxi version.
And second question is if these allys are really worth the price or an aftermarket like aura are a better option?

Break Pad set for swift is mentioned at around 2200 for the set but for diesel swift the MGA price is roughly at 3500...... is there any difference in diesel and petrol also these prices are same which are charged to customer at showroom or some addition is there?

^^ The break pad/assemblies of diesel powered vehicles are always at a higher degree due to the high torque from the diesels, so will definitely are at a higher price.

An Excellent List! I was hunting one such for quite a while! Thanks a TON!

Is this really true?

Low end torque is higher in diesels, but high end torque is higher in petrols.

So I don't see why brakes for diesels should be costlier.

The Diesel Torque is always higher for comparable engines.

At lower speeds, yes.

However, Diesel engine's torque peaks at far lower speed than petrols, I think.

Yep, the diesel engines yell our higher torque & hence bigger/better brakes compared to petrols. Bigger torque == Bigger braking system == bigger prices!

+1

And not forget, diesel engines are heavier too. Check the kerb weight of Vdi vs Vxi. For similar engine specs, diesel engines will be at least about 10% more heavy than petrol- meaning, we need 10% more force (and energy dissipation) while braking.

Re: Maruti Genuine Accessories and Parts PriceList

I have a request. I have tried every other method like calling Maruti Helpline, Maruti Dealers , Accessory dealers.... but this forum is my last try......pls help....

My problem is i bought a ALTO K10 VXI, which unfortunately has a normal rear view mirror...... i am desperately looking for a DAY and NIGHT mirror which will fit in the place of my existing one. (Remind you, every one else has tried to convince me for getting a CLIP On type mirror), but i believe there must be some place where i can buy a branded (or even chinese) Day and night regular kind of mirror. If any one knows a place in delhi pls provide me with address and tel for which i will be greatful. thnx in advance.
