Re: Maruti Genuine Accessories and Parts PriceList

The parts having M in them are localised MGP. Others are imported. The parts were localised over time and hence cost has come down.

Is there a updated list which shows current price list including the components of the SX4/Ertiga diesel engine? Thanks

Maruti Genuine Accessories and Parts PriceList-dsc00193.jpg

A new advertisement by MGP, found pasted at an auto spares shop.
To keep the old 800's rocking Maruti has now publicised the concept of selling half engines and so on!
My 1987 Maruti 800 however is still rocking and has a Japanese nationality. I am sure it will serve me many more years and for me the half engine is a No-No for now.
But however the concept of selling new engines is appreciated and it may click with many fellow Maruti 800 owners who may desire to change over.

Re: Maruti Genuine Accessories and Parts PriceList

The concept of half engine has been there from nearly 2002 or so on, when I saw it displayed in a service centre. Even now, the practice is prevalent and one of my uncles changed the half engine of his vintage M800 a few years back.

Re: Maruti Genuine Accessories and Parts PriceList

Agreed its not a new concept from MSIL. Earlier, even Fiats and Ambassadors offered new body shells and engines.
The advertisement has greater details and a vivid account of the latest on offer. While using the word "new" I only meant that this a newer advertisement as compared to the earlier posts and threads. This has been posted solely to help enable fellow members, if desirous, to avail the transplant.

Re: Maruti Genuine Accessories and Parts PriceList

Can anybody tell me the part number (or at least the proper name) of the air filter box (or is it called housing?) for the old Alto? Mine is a VXi. Can't seem to find it in the part list.

Thanks.

Hi swarnava.m,

You can also look at the old-gen WagonR air filter box (housing). The Alto VX/VXi 1.1 and the previous generation WagonR shared the same F10D engine, hence the air filter box.

Yes I am aware of that. But I am unable to find any of those in the parts list, most probably because I don't know exactly what the name of the part is. Can you please guide me?

Hi Swarnava, its probably because the air-filter is usually referred to in Suzuki documentation as the "air cleaner". Will post the part numbers from the catalog tomorrow. If I remember correct, the air filter housing is the same for the F8D & F10D Altos.

Yes, they are the same for F8D and F10D. I did search for "air cleaner", but wasn't able to land something specifically. Please let me know the part number at your convenience.
