Re: Less is More - VW Jetta Highline MT

the issue with VW is that right from the time of its inception, Vashista Vahan scam in Andhra, to it's other dealings with various state govts, it has learned how to manipulate the system from deep inside and thus it is quite complacent regarding customer feedback, infact they just don't care given the apathy of Indian politicians for whatever concerns the citizens grievances. They got the right products, but learned the wrong lessons in India. Their history of inception in India is full of scams from various state govts they dealt with. An upright corporate entity would never get involved in as many scams as VW. It shows the corporate character of VW. And that reflects in their service values and approach to customers.

Ajmat, it sure is becoming easy dealing with Govt. officials/babus.
This is bordering on customer torture now. 55 days for a 2 day job? It aint funny any more. Their lack of serivce is being evident here.

Appreciate the patience shown, though can imagine the amount of frustration this has lead to.

Re: Less is More - VW Jetta Highline MT

It gets better!!

Rang around- as usual no one answers phone

Ring up service manager -"Ring Body shop manager"

I blow up "Sir, I only look after service, I have nothing to do with bodyshop, I was only trying to help you"

Finally get through - Bodyshop manager's assistant ( the pawn in the battlefield) - car is ready but it will take 2 -3 days since insurance need to complete paperwork

Car was ready last week but because of their incompetence, it has cost another week.

ajmat.

We are getting more impatient than you are. Salute.

i dont know how this feeling will sink in for you to have any positives towards this manufacturer or the dealer.

Again, wishing "alls well if it ends well" .

Its so hard to believe that they are dishing out such treatment to the owner of one of their premium offering. Its been such a long wait and the attitude of your service centre is pathetic.

I would suggest that once you receive the car back, write a strong worded mail to VW India or some higher ups there so that they are ashamed of their acts and know whats happening down the order.

Next time they invite team bhp for testing one of their cars, would be great if any moderator shows them the printouts of this particular thread.

VW, BMW, Skoda etc - wonder whats happening, the service levels are going down very quickly.

Re: Less is More - VW Jetta Highline MT

Hello,

I have been following your thread for quite sometime now. I was shocked to see the way things were going, adding to that scraping the vehicle. Hats off to your patience. Tormenting customers is what vw is good at. As coolboy007 suggested someone should take an initiative to show Volkswagen that badge isn't everything that matters. Irony being the sales of the cars are adding to the laid back attitude of the brand. In fact cars like Jetta add up to it further.

I hope you get your peace of mind soon , which i am sure the sight/drive of her's is all what it takes.

Ajit, this s#cks! VW have effectively killed the joy of owning a new car. I am appaled reading about your experience....VW seem to be more casual than Skoda. Like you, I too was considering a Jetta, but no more. The least they should do is pick up the deductible on your insurance claim.

@ Ajmat: That really is bad. I can imagine a lot of things that could have gone wrong at the dealer, but that does not mean that customers should be given the short end of the stick, so as to speak.

I hope that the work done is upto the mark as you have given the dealer more than enough time to sort things out. Do make it a point to speak to the aftersales head at the dealership while you go over to pick up your car. There is a limit to what a phone call or email can do.

Re: Less is More - VW Jetta Highline MT

ajmat - this is getting a bit ridiculous now, this whole thing doesn't add up, something just doesn't seem right.

Given the recent incidents with VW and late night drives, please have the car checked thoroughly by multiple experts for the slightest sign of damage or accidents before accepting it back.

Really frightening experience, especially for someone who has just booked a Vento. Would be good if we can get some colour on why they screwed up so badly. I have not seen any similar experiences in the numerous Vento threads - so do you think this is Jetta specific or have I missed some other horror stories?

Re: Less is More - VW Jetta Highline MT

@Hayek. It has nothing to do with the model of the car. Its just the dealers attitude. There is also another thread about a BMW car where there is some delay from the dealer and service A.

If your dealer and service centre are pretty ok with taking care of customers, you should not worry about this.

Re: Less is More - VW Jetta Highline MT

This is one bizarre experience from VW. Seems they are going a step ahead of their sister concern Skoda in A S S. I for one, would never have gone to any authorised workshop for such a paint job. My road side painter does a much better job of matching colour at a fraction of the dealership cost and has been doing duty earnestly on all my Toyotas.

These Europeans should wake up to ground after sales service realities in India. Earlier we used to hear stories of only Skoda. But as VW sales are growing we are hearing similar, if not worse, stories from them too. BMW and Audi are not faring any better and similar stories are creeping in from their owners too. If a moderator on Tbhp can suffer such fate, what about us lesser mortals? Wake up VW, otherwise your full page ads claiming exceptional quality, will fall flat on their face...

Dkaile, the problem is, the paint job was carried out due to their fault. Ajmat had nothing to do with the damage.
In other words, the car was damaged while in their possession.

Ajmat, man this is getting more than ridiculous now! What person in his right sense of mind makes a statement like, we never promised a delivery date!
I understand this is getting frustrating, but i suggest you take this up with whoever possible and lodge your greviance. Of course, once the car comes back. Whenever that is.
