.

Not sure what you mean by reclining front seats, as the front seat base has front / aft movement, the seat back has a lever for changing the angle of the seat back to any angle of your choice.

There are no rear a/c vents in any variants of the car. The Ciaz does have it, but not s-cross.

Excellent review, I have rated 4 stars though. How are the brakes? Would appreciate more details. Also, would the various variants offer differences in the braking?

The Delta variant also comes with 4 disc brakes like Zeta and Alpha, not sure about the Sigma variant.

The brakes are excellent, its the crappy JKs which do not compliment the brakes.

I meant reclining it to make sort of flatbed to stretch legs. :)

All the four variants have front and rear disc brakes as standard option.

And have very solid braking performance. Speed is lost rapidly from all levels without any drama. Makes it little bit of fun in city and very safe on highways.

Thanks mate but this kind of info is provided by a lot of folk out there.
How good are the disc brakes? Is braking different for the different variants?
Why dont team-BHP reviews explasize on the braking as much as we do on other (even the smallest) things?

Thanks!

All variants of S-Cross are equipped with ABS, all 4 discs and 215/60 R16 tyres. Braking should be same :)

I have seen Team BHP mention about braking capabilities in almost all the reviews. I guess you missed out these lines. Quoting them.

A quick drive around your favourite road or highway will, however, immediately establish that this drivetrain is woefully inadequate for the splendid chassis and braking performance that the S-Cross has to offer. The car stops on a dime and without too much effort. The brake pedal itself feels progressive in its bite. The S-Cross behaves like no Maruti has before.

Please read my original post again. I am asking for braking stats and the differences between variants, if any. Because we have seen same manufacturers do strange things to keep costs low.

Given our reviews are so deep, I really want folks to cover this as well!

What exactly are you doubting here in case of S-Cross? The specs are same, whatsoever concerned to braking.

Are you looking for stuff like 100-0 braking distance / time?

Exactly, and across variants (if there is a need). Thanks!!

S cross certainly seems to be a true VFM. But sales figures don't seem to be encouraging.. One hardly gets to see a S cross uplift on roads, especially in mumbai. :deadhorse

I see a lot of these cars on the roads in Kerala.

After the one lakh price cut of duster is scross still more VFM?

Sales figures are satisfactory. It is not very good or very bad.

Duster was over priced, the price drop was very much needed.

The price cut on Duster will surely help convert more buyers but it has some following that sets it apart. Duster has the soul of an SUV! S-Cross doesnt, neither does Creta. Ecosport has stuff going for it but the 3 cylinder pot was a shocker.
