I went to Nawab motors stock yard yesterday, thye have around 15 LX sitting theres. The good thing is they have all the colors available now in LX version mainly the new Grey & Green colores. They look beautiful. I asked teh person there with whome I am in touch with for more than 4 months now for Safari , according to him he is not aware of any issue withnew 2.2l, either is not readu to reveal or does not anything. When i asked about themileage of new 2.2 he did not gave direct answer said it will be more than 3.l which was giving 11-12km/l according to him.
Does any one has figures about teh FE of 2.2 4X2.

handsome and troublesome

The same happened while a friend's Safari was climbing the Kalhatti ghat.

Why can't TATA deliver a troublefree and quality product.

Tata has release it. I am getting repeat calls from Sales Guy at Dhingra Motors for the booking. I promised me for delivery in 15 days for my choice of color. Also he told me the LX is also available and they are booking for it. I asked him for the problems appearing and he was total NO NO, saying they are taking lots of booking everyday.

I am not sure if too much information is also bad, but I am kind of low to this 2.2 release now. Though I myself saw people doing booking, and alot of them

Cost - Quotation-Navi Mumbai

Please post detailed costing (breakups) and interest rates etc once you get them.[/quote]

have been given the following quote for Navi Mumbai:EX-4*4
Ex Showroom- 913145/-
Cess @1%- 9160/-
Regn ( Indl)- 70920/-
Insurance- 36096/-
Finance - 90% - Tata Motors finance- 821000/-
EMI- 18284/- * 59

Total DP - 233745/-
( All amounts in INR )
I guess the Finance scheme is not good but the exec said they are expecting a minor revision- downwards- which is not announced yet.

As far as glitches is considered- Exec just gave a sheepish smile- what do I make out . As I am an existing customer for them- does it mean - Didn't we offer you good ***( after sales service) ( what you thought).

I ll wait for some more info and haggle on for better Fin Schemes. Anyone can give some clues, please.

Not changing my mind.

The delivary has started. I have booked a VX 4 X 4. Expected delivary early next week. I have waited for too long and I am not waiting any more. Problems or no problems. I am not cancelling the booking. Too much info is also not correct. Specially when it is based on speculation.

Whatever the problem, I am sure they will rectify it. It may mean going to the dealer regularly of the 1st two months. So be it. It also means avoiding trips to the hills for the 1st month of two. So be it.

After that..........

CONGRATS on your decisions. If not for TBHP- we all would have been not so speculative. I remember a comment at "Italianos" referring the radically designed spare wheel cover and the videos and pics of 4*4s ( those who have been closely following pre launch hype on the TBHP about 2.2, that we all had such high expectations). Despite the hope that since the 2.2 is already exported, we will not be made scapegoats on test mules .
Anyway- never would I have beleived more- "Ignorance is Bliss".
So forget all the tensions and enjoy your drive. Hope for the Best and be prepared for ....what may come!!

10.5 to 11.25% seems like a good car loan rate, depends on the number of years and bank.

Or wait till 18th for RCF to launch, they might surprise the industry, as I read in a daily.

Yep!
Manufacturer wants to sell, dealers don't want to sell. Clash of interests, bad for everyone.

Just spoke to the guys at Dhingra Motors. They say that my vehicle will be despatched from the factory on Thursday. If there was a case of major issue then they would not be despatching vehicles. Imagine the numbers of problem vehicles the dealers will be left to handle? I am sure the dealers will get onto TATA's case if that would have happened.

There is another side to the story. They say that the service guys at the dealers are having problem, inspite of their training. Do not know what that means.
