Thank you sir! I guess it's just that some manufacturers come up with these ingenious solutions while others are fine with the way things are.

iraghava: Sir, I hope the car AND its illustrious owners are firing on all cylinders- it's been ages since we dialogued.

iraghava: Wonderful, Sir. Drive safe. Our Fabia has clocked 3K + and we cannot fault her in any way.

The seat belt holder is available on the swift also, neatly tucks away the clip to prevent rattles, i guess in iKON also

So last week got the i10's 20k service done at HMP. Total damage including taxes was Rs. 804/-

Also, had to drive the car around for a few days (including highway runs) and here were some observations:

1. At high speeds the car is quite susceptible to crosswinds. So if you're driving when it's windy, just be a little careful.
2. For sustained high speed runs, she desperately needs better rubber than what comes as stock.
3. Beige upholstery/interiors get dirty extremely quickly.
4. Dashboard glare in direct sunlight is very irritating.
5. Runs out of puff at about 120kmph & acceleration from then on is slow.
6. A-Pillar blind spot is irritating.
7. Driving without a stereo is very frustrating!
8. The colour is a bit of a pain to maintain because every scratch shows up very prominently. Sigh.....

Other than that, there are no problems with the car (touchwood!) and Mum is still happy with her choice of car!

Going through the thread, I discovered that the crosswinds problems highlighted by me above have already been speculated by me only in April! Damn, I'm good!!

While I've not been able to test the same but given the Santro's tendency to weave all over the road in crosswinds, I wouldn't be surprised if the i10 shares this fault too.

No rattles, no squeaks till now Sahil. She's holding up very well in that department despite being driven around on some real bad roads (NH 24).

So, the balance amount should be given to me for providing such a hefty discount.

BTW the estimate was given for i10 with 1.5 CRDi. lol

Irags, good to see the i10 holding up well. Alhtough i am not a fan of its lizard like face, it seems to be becoming quite popular here in Bangalore. Been seeing a lot of them around these days.

Ishan, Good to see the car doing well - and importantly, your mom being happy with it.

Time to move the thread to the LTR section ?

Anyone from TATA MOTORS reading this?

Replace roy's car or you are gonna loose lots of more customers, just for your information my cousin brother also droped tata motors from list after i told him about the thread and overall tata vehicle's quality. Don't know much about vista but many of my friends who bought indica gen 1 and 2 are fade up from the car after 2 years...
