About pics im really really sorry bro's . Since i left just one day after it was bought i couldnt take any pics. . How ever i will ask my sis to take and send me so that i can post it here. Im working in chennai. So i wont have first hand experience with the car for quite somedays from now

Exactly. That was our first doubt. We thought about not accepting the delivery. The Senior service manager there said that he himself had tested the car close to 180Kms. It seems on all new Tata models they do extensive testing. He was a quite good guy and he writes coloumns in some malayalam auto mags and all. So we took his word for it. I mean if they wanted to they could have easily reset the odo.

yea i saw one vista due to be delivered 3 days after that. It had been driven only 110Kms. They said they are yet to complete their testing.

Well my dad did a pretty long trip on the car. He said he never felt any jitters / vibrations on steering wheel or any roughness that would cause any discomfort. We had a swift vxi which we sold some months ago. With my short experience with the car im sure i cant drive the vista like how i used to drive my swift. It needs to be pampered a bit more. Vista is definitely not the drivers car that swift is. But comfort wise it is way ahead of the former.

Boot space is a real shame. For a car of its size they should have had provided a bit more space. 2 average sized bags and thats it. it wont accept any more. My UNO has more usable boot space than Vista.

Will let you guys know the updates as and when i have it.

Congrats. Convey my wishes to your dad to Enjoy the Vistas

Just take the testing in writing. Even testing *may* not mean they'd have stuck to the RPMs!

What was the OTR price? Any discounts? ;-) How is the FE?

Snaps please!!! Suggested pics - Boot, dash, instrument panel, engine bay, Audio system, speakers, inside panels of doors. (I hope I am not asking for too much.)

Edit 1 - Any plans for after market accessories? (Security system, etc)

What are the service intervals as per user manual?

Edit 2:- About the bad wipers - did you try cleaning the wind shield with good soap? (Go through the car care thread on this forum). Probably, it was oil residue from manufacturing process on the wind shield. Also, put in some shampoo (the 2 Rs. sachet) into the wiper liquid.

Hi ganesh,

I am afraid, you are wrong.

The Uno initially came with a 1 litre petrol and a 1.7 litre diesel engine. Later the petrol was upgraded to the 1.2 litre engine.

The diesel was not turbocharged.

Any idea about the waiting period in Bangalore for the QuadraJet Aura? Is it like swift Diesel (4+ months)?

Thanks,
VV

Hello guys,
There seems to be a minor problem with the car. Dad told me when i called him today morning. He started hearing some distinct thuds from underneath the car from yesterday morning. It seemed to be coming from the front suspension.

So he called up the service centre. They came and took a look at what was happening. Something in the suspension was going and rubbing against the underbody and that was causing the noise.

Took the car to the service centre. Dono if the noise is still there or whether they were able to fix it. Will update you as soon as i know the details.

It is kinda upsetting if not anything else if such things happen with a brand new car!! But, I guess, your baby is in safe hands. Do update as to what was wrong and why did it happen after a few days of driving? What were the reasons?

Another thing, yours is the very first Vista on the forum and still no pictures!! I mean do some justice to your car and the forum man. I am pretty sure, everybody here is anxiously waiting for pics!! Upload some as soon as you get her back.

Great to see a Vista owner here now!
I hope the niggles with the suspension get corrected.
A silent and smooth indica with a slick gearshift sounds great!!
Looking for pictures as usual.
