Hi Friends,

After a long wait finally got delivery of my Black Swift VDi on 26th Oct (Dhanteras Day). I had waited a lot for the white VDi with ABS and finally gave in when I saw the Black beauty at the showroom. Honestly speaking, no regrets today.

Immediately after taking delivery, did some minor modifications on the wheels as advised by the Gurus by changing over to 15” League alloys and Yokohama ES-100 195/60. The set looks awesome on the black beauty and the ride is simply excellent. It feels like the car is glued to the roads. I will try to post some pictures but being a new subscriber, I am not sure whether I can do it or not.

Other accessories include the ICE which includes a Kenwood HU–MP5539U with JBL component speakers GTO series in front and JBL 6x9 GTO937 at the rear on wooden tray. The guy has also fitted an Amp cum woofer (Perhaps – Sumoku, not sure of the name) which has really added dimension to the music output. The seat cover and steering wheel cover is from Stanley-PU stable and has got a smart fit and finish. Other small accessories include floor-mats, foot mats, mud flappers, also installed the basic model of Autocop for keyless entry.

I am thinking of changing the front grill to a Dzire grill and how about K&N filters? Gurus, looking for your comments and guidance please.

She has just done around 400 kms in one week and I am really impressed with the drive specially so after having driven my Indica – DLS-V2 for 3 years+.

Friends wish my beauty, a bright long life.

Thanks to everyone who really made it happen.

Hey dude .
CONGRATS !! another swift VDI to the TEAM huh. Am thrilled to see the number of DDIS growing on the TEAM. Nice colour pal. Red and Black were my favourite colour on the SWIFT but i got a SILVER one due to non availability. Please do give a write up after changing the tyres on your swift, just to know the difference. I am still running the stock tyres on my VDI.

Cheers

I have already run 26k km on my stock tyres pal, i ll get nothing for selling that however.

Thats a good price you are getting. I checked up here in kerala and was quoted 4k per Michelin XM1+. And the alloys were 18000 for 4 nos. Are you getting a set of 4 or 5 alloys? cos i asked the dealer here for 5 and he said, it all comes in a pack of 4 and you cant get 1 extra. Is that true?

Hi srikant, the prices seems to be a on the higher side.As far as alloy wheels are concerned i have even seen them in their godown. they come in corrugated boxes i saw 2 piece per box.in any case if you really need one extra you can go for it.
i am going for only four wheels and four tyres only..by that way i can save some money to spend elsewhere.

Guys, i am planning to install jbl 608 front components and some 6.5" co-axial speakers for the rear and blaupunkt gt4 mk special II 4 ch amp for my swift , experts can you please explain the difference between a 4 ch and 2 ch amp.

My intentions are to have distortion free sound with limited bass with good cross over feel and over all a rich music experience. will the above setup cater my requirement?

please advice soon..thanks
