@VahanPujari you are an inspiration man, good to see your report. I am close to 4k as well, and have really not been active on the forum. Your thread got me thinking that I should reactivate mine.

@karthik +1 to that

It seems I drive 2 different Lineas in 1 single registration no. - one on weekdays & 1 on weekends
Today, when I started the car in the morning trip A was showing 8.0 kmpl (tank-full till today FE) because of B2B traffic. I reseted trip B & drove for 18 kms & I got 16.5 kmpl because of less traffic on Saturday. This happened 2nd time, I got 16.5 kmpl on another Saturday a month back.
In Mumbai how wish how everyday should be Saturday - not only for FE bur pleasure of driving
1st pic below is of today & 2nd pic is from more than a month back (km reading 1638 kms)

I think your linea has a multiple personality disorder. Better take it to a psychiatrist

Tried Door Seal temporarily. Below are 2 pics. Have not liked it as it disturbs good looks slightly. Will have to try again to see if I start liking it. what do you guys think? does it look ok?

FastLove - are the adhesive tapes given are both-side adhesive? I checked - it seems like 1 side adhesive with yellow paper to be peeled off. On the other side the white paper does not seem to be peeled off. Is it that it is to be placed with non-adhesive side touching car body from inside & the adhessive side sticks to the door seal inside

I was trying to analyse the events in last 10 days & found that it has actually given me a new perspective.

Well, I raised a hell for a missing plastic cover. I got so upset having not come across this situation in my car earlier that I did not realise that it could have been sorted out at Dealer's end. May be this has to do with Tata Service stations abilities or may be Fiat's earlier reputation. After a very good response from Fiat & after I came to know that the Plastic cover that was lying on floor of my car is not a fallen piece from my car. Which means it may have been put by the Tata mechanic when I got my damaged bumper replaced. It also gives a strong possibility that my car's missing plastic cover may have similarly found its way into some other car's floor .

Another point I was pondering is about these Plastic issues. Its known that quality of these plastics are questionable. But then other car's (SX4, ANHC etc) plastics are not good either. Secondly, these are not deal-breakers. I mean one takes a car as a complete package. Plastic quality will never stop me from buying Linea when there are other imp strengths - solid build, Drop Dead Looks, Excellent Ride & Handling Qualities, Luxuries/ Equipment/ Features which no other car offers in this segment. I still maintain that Plastics are too small an item in a car. Yes, Fit N Finish is also slightly questionable. But thats also not Deal-Breaker. These all are the legacy of partnering Tata which is actually the best thing Fiat has done.

1 think I've always noticed that with Tata's you can't go wrong with their intentions. I mean they are not those crooked type dealers who want to rip off the consumer at every opportunity. There are cases here that the MFR or the dealer does not replace the part under warranty, charges heftily from an unsuspecting customer, put substandard/ fake parts etc.

As a Linea-owner my interest is simply that Fiat should be able to sell 800 - 1000 Lineas p.m. which means better service standards can be expected, spares will always be available, spares prices will not rise, Fiat-Tata will continue to be focussed on building the brand. If Linea in its present form & with present state of Tata service station achieves 800 - 1000 no.s p.m., so be it.

Its in this backdrop that I now realise what FastLove mentioned in his 1-2 posts in some threads (may be Niggling Thread?) is absolutely correct about Plastics not being the Deal-Breaker. I now realise his viewpoint (& agree with it) that if there is a car which does not deserve the Niggling Issues Thread, Its The Linea because it offers so much at so little a price.

MicroScopic view!

Another thing that is clearly noticed is that we initial Linea-Owners views every li'l thing with Microscope. Its also a fact that Linea comes with many gazettes for which when we use it initially, we're not exactly aware on nitty-gritties. Hence, we help ourselves by asking our li'l group of Linea-owners in this forum. Every little thing also we report here as most of us are new to t-bhp & wants to get maximum out of it taking opinions. Hence, it often looks like issues when they are actually queries.

i completely agree with you.
The objective of that thread is being abused. Instead of giving feedback to Fiat, that thread is being quoted everywhere (without Head & Tail) raising question of Quality of Linea which is not true & misleading unsuspecting prospective customers.
Can anyone say if there is any car without niggles?. In my opinion there is no complete car in this world and all cars have niggles. If there is a niggling issue thread for linea there should be a niggling issues thread for all cars in this world. I am going to start a niglling issue thread for SX4 and ANHC as well and also for BMW cars to maybach's
I have replied to your post please have a look.

Firstly, the door seals look good.

The adhesive tapes are both sides. It is actually like say a regular glue you take out from a tubr. only thing is after you peel off both yellow and white sides there is just the layer of glue on the inside of the door edge.

how you use it is : just peel off the yelllow side and stick it onto the inside of door. the white side peels off as smoothly if you just use a little of your finger nails to scratch it out. then inser the door seal from outside and at the inside area just lift the seal rubber (dont slide) and then press it against the adhesive.

The problem with we linea owners is that we discuss about very small issues also that what it makes the other bhp'ns think like" Oh Man! Linea has lots of issues and problems".

Hello Bhp'ns if you have linea in mind please don't get carried away with these small issues becos we wanna get max out of it, so don't worry and these small issues are definitely not a deal breaker. Previously i owned NHC and i had lot of niggling issues which i did not have any post or people to discuss with but now i have lot of em explaining their problems. Once again i would like to congratulate FIAT for making such a marvelous machine. what say?

Dear Friend, When your intentions are right you cannot go wrong. It is the intention that matters! When you wrote about your issues you were doing it with good intention and it was very constructive discussion. However, like you did find now , not everyone share the same intentions and the whole idea of your initiative to discuss your problem becomes a "Decision" for people to give a verdict on a car.

No brand was built in a day. No brand can even boast 100% satisfied customers inpite of their reliability over many years. Merc or BMW or even Ferrari have disgrutled customers and after paying over a crore (in some cases) . I see Linea as a wonderful package . A dream machine all the way at an amazing price.

There is a poll in one of the Indian Car scene thread " Best C Segment car" where Linea is leading handsomely. Please do vote there too

and lastly, thank you for taking note of my posts and agreeing to them. Although , i dont expect everyone to be in concurrence to all my posts and we can have constructive debates as well.

P.S. i read this post of yours last night .. only replied late today ..hehe!
