I did. Yours was the only post with Black pics and probably the only one in all India. Ha! I am the second.

Dont take any of this the wrong way but these were my thoughts (ofcourse I could have cleared it by writing to you but oh well i had to remain confused and decide for myself hehe) -Probably because of the cloudy background or the shot angles, the color looked plain and didnt have much reflections on it... which made me even more confused and some angles looked like the old corolla.
But since it was much earlier on, I did not know if this was the same that I was about to buy or maybe a newer model came out.

One of your pictures that showed the interior floor mat you were about to buy, had a good close up of the paint, and it had the pearl black finish I was looking for. That was a big point in my buying factor so Thank you for that shot!

Turns out it was the same model anyways

Thanks princemanatt, vid6639, basilmabraham, longhorn for your warm welcome to the Corolla Family

@basilmabraham - I think it looks awesome without the plates too... but yeh nothing much we can do there!

Added benefits I guess. I feel it has a merc mclaren wannabe look in the front. Hehe.

Actually the pics I took were obviously not great but you got to see the ones which Rudra took.

The front looks are more camryish and in the black the looks are much better as the bonnet-bumper separation is done using a black rubber strip and that blends is perfectly with the colour.

Sorry I am new here. Not sure if I came across the pics by Rudra. I would have remembered if I did though.

The bonnet-bumper separation is hardly visible in the black. I love more because of this!

Thanks Gansan.
OTR price was 13.3L roughly. I posted the breakdown price a few posts back on the first page. Check it out here Post#15

Congratulations!

Somehow the Indian Corolla seems a lot more luxurious than the one sold in the US!!

Hi jocreative, congratulations and welcome to the Toyota Corolla Altis gang.

I must say it looks reallllly cool in black. Quite a few BHPians own an Altis or a Corolla. You will find quite a bit to read out here. Enjoy the car :-)

Cheers!

The Altis sold primarily in Asia is much better kitted than the USDM Corolla. That's why they call it the Corolla Altis. It is all about market segment positioning.

Cheers!

you should be proud of owning this car. Afterall its toyota's best seller worldwide and a premium sedan in india.

i just love its HID headlamps and 8 way power seats as my uncle owns one.

Colour also plays and very imp role in defining cars looks.

Do maintain the car and keep us posted with regular updates
