No problem. I have been checking the forum on how to do that too... I couldnt find any way to modify old posts and so left it like that with a final post saying I bought the Altis. I guess our Big bro Moderators did it for me after that. Thanks guys.

Thanks guys. I am loving the black look everytime I see the car! It does look classy and aweosme!!
Ofcourse the Black tyres also has a role in the classy looks. When I got it from the showroom it still had the muddy grayed out look, so I buffed it up with a foam-polish product and tadaa... it looks squeaky new!!

Interior pics coming soon.

Interior Pics

Here are some Interior Pics.

I couldnt find the brand on the Rear parking sensor. The dealers gave it to me as a third party thing. Its pretty handy but can be annoying at times. For each sensor on the rear, there is a corresponding orange line on the LCD screen and shows the distance of that sensor to the nearest object behind and blinks that orange line.
Its not 100% accurate and most of the time it just says ".6 meters .6 meters .6 meters .6 meters ding ding ding ding ding" hence annoying
But oh well, it serves the purpose. Some time later I may disable the audio voice over if there is an option in the manual to do so.

The trunk access from the rear seat is really handy. I used to have it in my cars in the US and I assumed most of the cars here in india to have it but my chev Aveo didnt and I was shocked!

The rear seats really good leg room too when the front seats are pulled all the way back. Totally awesome!

I just noticed a pull out black mesh screen on the rear wind screen. Probably a curtain? not sure... but good to know something is in there!

The double glove box space is also awesome. Thats really handy thinking by Toyota. If there is extra space why not let the customers enjoy it! Good going!

For those who are curious about the tyre polish, attached is a picture of it "Armor All Tire Foam". Love the product.

Thats a pretty nice looking car and the parking sensors with the tiny LCD screen looks great. Congratulations on buying the Altis! Travel safe.

Question: Does the LCD screen provide any other purpose or is it strictly limited to parking sensor? Also, is a rear camera provided?

Thanks. The LCD is exclusively used for the rear parking sensors. It auto-activates when you put the gear on reverse.
No rear camera. Would have to buy that in additon along with another LCD screen to view the distance. I did not find it necessary actually.

I am on the look out for ICE. My only options are Passenger and Driver Head rest DVD players (dis-advatages are people in the front seats cannot see), or 2 Din dash DVD player (people in the back seats will have limited view and I also will loose the 6CD player).
Sun Visor DVD would have been the best other alternative, but the length of the visor is around 1/2 an inch more than the standard Altis visor groove, so it cannot be closed or it would have a huge gap and look ugly with a tilt.

I couldn't find the USB port for the Altis, Does it come with one? or just the Aux-In?

Lovin my ride!!!

Amazing an Neat Interiors. I love the Rear Seat Comfort of this Car. Its so Plushy and Comfy as if you are sitting on a couch.

The rear Curtain and the Leather Seats are they a standard fitment by Toyota?

Thanks cedizen. Yes the leather seats and Rear curtain are standard stock fittings. The leather seats are only available in the GL and automatic variant though.

congratulations on your black corolla! little sister of the camry

i don't know if its visual trickery or something else! but whenever i take a look at corolla on the roads here it seems bigger than say a civic, or the skoda laura!! (dimensions)! not too much but just a little bit on the plus side. and i love the HID lamps and the round LED tailights! i don't think skoda laura and civic have used LEDs for tailights! so such unique stuff makes it kinda hot!

There was a thread on the ICE setup inside corolla, wherein a fellow team-bhpian had put in a 2 din dash dvd player with a LCD touchscreen.

Also, there is no USB port for the Altis, only an aux-in.

somehow missed this thread till today, black altis is a stunner indeed, hope you manage to keep it clean till the evening , I struggle in the evening when all dust makes the color change to brown.

Armor All is a wise choice for tyre polish. Nice and clean pictures.
