One simple question. Why ford left these slots empty in the first place?

Hey buddy,

This was a really nice gesture for you to post pictures of your car & trying to help me out. Thanks a ton

But I needed to see the area right beneath that heat shield. I have edited one of the photos from your post & am pasting them here with the markings. There is a big bottle sort of a thing right below that heat-shield that I have highlighted in "cyan" colour. I need to look at that.

If you can click a picture of that area & post them here, I will be grateful.

Drive safe.

Basically you need a picture of the catalytic converter? Any specific reason why?

re: Review: 1st-gen Ford Figo (2010)

Hey, thanks for letting me know the name of that device. The reason I want to look at it is because I seem to be missing a nut from around there. Also, I am noticing a louder exhaust sound since a day or two. But due to work commitments, I haven't really been able to check out any other Figos.

I spoke to the dealership & they are just not able to answer anything on the phone, so I thought of asking someone here to post a picture.

While at this, is there any chance that something may have gotten so loosened up that it fell off? I thought that the exhaust parts were pretty tightly bolted together & most nuts were even spring loaded.

re: Review: 1st-gen Ford Figo (2010)

The Diesel Devil is upto antics.
Yesterday at night i wanted to take some shots so took out the car for a spin.
That "spin" turned into a 400km drive to Ludhiana throughout the night !
For a ex-petrol guy, diesel is like candy
I am facing a weird issue with the DTE meter.
On tankful - it gave 618km.
After driving for 350km - The DTE is hovering around 550 km. Considering better highway mileage, shouldn't the DTE have recalculated to something like 7xx km instead decreasing very slowly from 618 to 550 km ?

Starting the return to Gurgaon - "spin" now!
Oh, did i say, the car rocks. what a sure footed sweet handling piece of machinery is this.

this.
The DTE increases only after significant mileage on a highway.

But for the urban crawl, it almost reduces the DTE instantly.

This is based on my experience.

Suggest you go to Cauvery Ford itself. Ask your Mangalore dealer to put you in touch with the Cauvery Ford guys in Bangalore so that you have a hassle free experience here.

If not that then Metro Ford is best. Its best to avoid the others due to numerous bad experiences our members have had.

I was able to click these pictures, but not sure it will help you. The alluminium sheet has about 6-8 bolts to it.

Congratulations on your new ride. Nice choice and white looks decent and official and you got good deal on freebies too.

You did a road trip so soon! hope you are not reving it too hard during initial run-in period.

Waiting for your initial ownership review with pics.

Also, NFS_1980 was using "Fuel log Pro" android app. This app is nice and useful. First you need to download Fuel log and later download Fuel log pro in google play.
