Re: My Punto 1.3 Active has arrived

hi everyone !

I too got my Grande Punto Active MJD on Dec, 22 2010:
http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/test-d...-multijet.html

I am facing a few problems.

1. yesterday i went on a 300KMS highway drive from dehradun to Trilokpur ( Himachal Pradesh) NH72, While coming back the front passenger side seat started making a crunching noise every time i turned my card or overtook another car in a zippy. Now in a straight line there is no cabin sound, but while turning or rather while making a steep curve the front passenger seat and a rare rear seat crunches . What this might be ?

2. Does Autocop central locking for punto comes with all door switches or only front door ? I installed the pack for 8500/- and onyl got the front doors attached to the CL.

Any help would be deepy appreciated.

Thanks

Update at 7600 Kms

After 1st service and some 1k kms the car started reacting very differently, to my good it now feels better than before. Absolutely no issues.City FE 19-20kmpl, highway - 22-24, with/without AC, never felt less milage with AC on.
Never went beyond 3000 rpm, but I have one question, in some drives after I cross 120kmph, car feels little unsteady, is it because of being only me in the car, or my tyre profile, does 15" with 195/60 gives better drive experience?

Are the tyre pressures set right?

If yes, do a wheel balancing and alignment job.

Hi Adson, you have got a beauty there.

Did you manage to install ICE and central locking? Any idea how much they are charging if you want central locking + remote locking?

Not yet, I am looking out for a specific HU with LCD touch screen and DVD play, hope to get soon. About CL, will do this month end, not sure if remote locking will be there or not.

It is not due to tyre profile. I also have an active and have done till 165kmph. The car was rock solid. (loud though). not sure about the improvement with 15".

Do not want to endorse high speed driving here, but with all clear 3 km ahead visibility, I managed 160 on my Emotion pack (195/60R15). What I felt at 160 is, the tyre noise puts you off not the car's stability.

Are you getting the HID stuff from TRS (The Retrofit Source online: headlight upgrades for all applications). Is TRS shipping stuff to India ?
How do you plan to do the install, DIY ?

Re: My Punto 1.3 Active has arrived

nice pics, even nicer car.... have the i10 automatic, i test drove the punto emotion series, amazingly zippy... would have bought that in a heartbeat if it had an AT option.

How was the service experience so far? think you would have finished the second service by now.

I heard that Fiat have now (finally!) moved away from Tata in terms of having dedicated dealers and service networks.

No Way man!!!!!! This is Fiat, it has 15,000 km interval for each service, I have done the initial service which is at 1000km, still arround 11600 km in odo so it will take few months to complete 15000(bought the can on 1st Oct,10).

@Donarun
Got a contact from Team BHP classified, the guy is in Cochin, he is getting them shipped. I am not a pro to do a DIY in Punto so will drive down to Cochin and get it done by him. So the cost mentined in my post is including my Cochin journey expenses .

Eagerly waiting for the pictures of your HID Kit.
