BTW, is the speedo console backlit in blue or is the camera playing tricks here? It is backlit in white for the Polos.
It's backlit in white. There's a transparent plastic film for protection. So makes it appear blue.

Congrats for the AT Vento. However, we are still waiting to hear more about the car. How is the drive and initial FE?

Congrats buddy. Great going. You'll be better off with the 195's C drives since yours is a petrol, i say. Have a look at the Caska unit too at that Khira nagar Car Accessory shop i told you about. And i saw a full page Caska India ad in this month's Autocar so you'll get service compared to the Witson too. Basically both are Chinese makes, like the Pioneer ones.

Wish i picked it up too, we could have taken delivery together! Life. Have fun & drive safe!

well i went to the town one since AT was there only for TD, that was on my 2nd visit, in the first visit they forgot to revert back at all but since i had to have a TD i had to go there again. then booked the car in Tornado and went and showed my face everyweek. so on nov 25 i paid 75k and he told me jan 30 delivery, i was ok with that. in dec 2nd week he says car will be here earlier. so it was overall a good experience. i gave a deadline of jan 20, got the car on 3rd jan so cant complain..

I see Caska has only 2 models listed on its website for VW, CA3621,CA3605 can they be fitted on Vento unlike Winston? How about Warranty issues?

Re: The Wind is here - VW Vento AT

Congratulations on the car! Please note that Team-BHP does not permit booking / buying experience threads in the Test-Drives section anymore. For the benefit of members & guests alike, it is now imperative to include a complete report on the car (the driving experience / comfort / features, what you like, what you don't like etc.).

This thread is temporarily closed. Please PM me or report this post once you are ready to update with a complete driving report; that's when it shall be re-opened. Thanks for your support.

Re: The Wind is here - VW Vento AT

dumping the idea of getting a witson for now since if something goes wrong i dont want to spend $100 dollars each way to repair the same item. so ordered a pioneer 3200 should be arriving from USA on tuesday. have to buy the panel for the same and the adapters. stock speakers remain the same for now. no other mods besides the tire change if i get them on monday. if not im dumping that idea too since ive lost patience. just added carpets since VW is cheap not to provide them and seat covers in velvet will take pics of the same tomorrow.

Are you getting the AVHP3200DVD (dual din) or the DEH3200UB (single din)? I have the latter one in my mazda. But the dual din one is loaded with features. I guess you are aware that most US models only tune to odd FM frequencies (if you do listen to FM).
